2014 AFL Season - Spoilers Inside

James Gwilt would be a good player to have around a young defense he is experienced.
Maybe a GWS give him a go for a season or 2 and see how it goes.

Andrew Raines, James Polkinghorne, Jordan Lisle Patrick Wearden, Nick Hayes, Sam Michael and Isaac Conway. Have been delisted by the Lions

Really glad Taylor won the Rising Star, felt like being in a non-Vic club was going to work against him. Bont had more highlight reel moments, but Taylor has played every game and has been an integral cog in the Lions' resurgence.

Clinton Jones and James Gwilt delisted by Saint Kilda.

Apparently there's now some conjecture about whether Gwilt was delisted or wants out to another club.

geez, finals haven't started and the post season has already kicked up

- reports earlier today that Patty Ryder was exploring a AFLPA clause that was allow up to be released as a UFA if Essendon are found to have breached their Duty of Care. Supposedly GWS and Brisbane were in the mix. Essendon tonight released a statement refuting the claims.

- Carlton has let Mitch Robinson go, and they'll move Garlett if they can get a trade done. They've delisted Andrew McInnes, Tom Temay, Jaryd Cachia, Luke Reynolds

- Collingwood delisted Marty Clarke, Caolan Mooney, Peter Yagmoor

- Can add Trent Dennis-Lane, Sam Dunell to St Kilda's delistings

- Sam Frost has asked GWS for a trade to a Victorian club. O'Rouke is another player that could also possibly make the same request.

- Brisbane are apparently shopping Daniel Merrett

- Jason Winderlich may be rethinking his retirement

- Heritier Lumumba could possibly walk out on Collingwood after what he saw as inaction over a homophobic slur graffitied on a poster in the Collingwood rooms (poster featured Scott Pendlebury and Dayne Beams and someone has written ""off to the Mardi Gras boys?" on it)

- Brandon Ellis, Ben Griffiths, Liam McBean and Kamdyn McIntosh have all re-signed with Richmond

- Levi Casboult and Nick Graham have re-signed with Carlton

- Jamie Bennell re-signed with West Coast

Talk about patty Ryder requested an trade to Brisbane or he will probably just explore that clause as stated

Think Fair Work Vic is still investigating Essendon. If they are found to have breached their duty of care, then any player can activate the clause. So I'd say all Ryder is doing at the moment is putting the feelers out.

Heard Jake Carlisle may be exploring the same thing.
If they are found out that means all 34 send show clause notices could leave?
This whole saga could ruin essendon

Apparently a SA radio station was reporting that Carlilse was going to plead guilty to the show cause notice.

Since been refuted.

Pretty sure there are only about twenty left on their list and once the season finishes they will probably let 2-3 go anyway. So down to 17. Why do you think it is being dragged through the courts. By the time it is resolved it won't matter if they are guilty or not. There will only be 6-7 players still on the list and they can take 6 months off. Have to love our judicial system.

As an opposition supporter I am more than content for Justice Middleton to take whatever time he needs to make his decision re: the validity of the ASADA investigation into Essendon. His decision will impact the lives of the 34 Essendon players one way or another and also the AFL, ASADA, the Essendon FC and its employees as well as the many thousands of club members.

We are fed lies - and they have to be lies as it is simply illogical for News Ltd and Fairfax to be so opposed in their views and research abilities - on a daily basis about players leaving Essendon, about Justice Middleton's findings being deliberately delayed and about who exactly knew what.

Shock retirement of Dan Jackson, because of hip ,glute and lower back problems. After being named in the side he announced immediate retirement earlier today. Big loss of last years best and fairest.

David Swallow wins Gold Coast's 2014 B&F, from Tom Lynch and Dion Prestia, with Ablett 4th.

Other awards:

Players’ Player Award - Steven May
Most Professional Award - Michael Rischitelli
Most Improved - Steven May
NEAFL Player of the Year - Leigh Osborne
Community Award - Charlie Dixon

Daniel Talia has won the Malcolm Blight Medal.
Charlie Cameron won Mark Bickley Medal.
Taylor Walker won Best team man.
Eddie Betts won Coaches Award
Ian Callian won State side best and fairest

Great year for Daniel Talia.
Great defender.
His speech was great and he really stated where adelaide needs to be and should be next year.
For a 22 year old i see him as a future captain or at least vice captain

Nick Riewoldt (St Kilda), Tom Rockliff (Brisbane) and Shane Mumford (GWS) are other B&F winners from tonight, joining Nathan Jones (Melbourne) and Tom Liberatore (Western Bulldogs) from earlier in the week.

Riewoldt has now won a B&F in his teen, twenties and thirties!

Adelaide crows have delisted Angus Graham and Shaun Mckeran.

Good move to let mckeran go.
Not sure about Graham never seen him play at the Crows.

That also means crows will more then likely pick up another Ruckman because now we only have Jacobs.

Luke Lowden has been linked to a move to South Australia.
And Tyson Goldsack reportingly received offers from both Adelaide and Port Adelaide.

Even though he is a Hawk, I wish Luke Lowden all the best if he can get regular senior footy at AFL level for another club. McEvoy, Hale and Ceglar have done really well for Hawthorn this year....Ceglar in particular has been a surprise packet.

What about Heritier Lumumba? Melbourne-bound maybe, after he was snapped having a coffee with Roosy yesterday?
