2014 AFL Season - Spoilers Inside

Even though he is a Hawk, I wish Luke Lowden all the best if he can get regular senior footy at AFL level for another club. McEvoy, Hale and Ceglar have done really well for Hawthorn this year....Ceglar in particular has been a surprise packet.

What about Heritier Lumumba? Melbourne-bound maybe, after he was snapped having a coffee with Roosy yesterday?
Personally I don't think he will play at Melbourne.
I think he may go to a Saint Kilda.
Maybe GWS offer him good $$$.
GWS would be a much better side with Shaw and Lumumba on their half back line.

Or he may even stay at Collingwood

Channel 7 Adelaide just said he was spotted in Adelaide...... it's a bit like the old Chicken Man radio show - "He's everywhere! He's everywhere!" :-)

I wouldn't mind him at the Crows.
We need another running half backman.

And if he wants to leave Collingwood will have to let him go for a late Draft pick.

I'm not sure.
Probably no room for Garlett.
Maybe Robinson but I think his off field issues would put the crows off.
We never really take chances when it comes to things like that.
Although I would love Garlett.
When on he is a great player.
Imagine a forward line with walker, Betts, Cameron, Garlett, pods and either a dangerfield or Sloane resting up their.

However I hope crows do something that no one expects and gets a Garlett or a Lumbumba because we need something special.

We took a chance on Pods and Betts and so far they have payed off.

If we want a premiership we need more experienced quality players

As long as lam umbra doesn't come to richmond I'm happy. He is an absolute flog and don't need players like that around the club. I am all for equality and am an advocate for supporting the minorities (I work in disability sector) but seriously some of the things he blows up about are just ridiculous and he just reeks of moral superiority syndrome

Can see Garlett at West Coast

Also; lol @ Ross Lyon cracking it at a fan

The Australian reported that the spectator, Dockers fan David Soale, said he merely offered Lyon some encouragement by patting him on the back.

"I just said ‘go get em Ross’ and he turned around and grabbed me by the throat," Soale said, adding that the Freo coach peppered the brief exchange with profanities.

"I was shocked. I didn't mean anything by it."

Lyon said he had no problems walking through the crowd to get onto the ground.

"It's never an issue but you only need one," Lyon said.

"It is a safe environment, you've got security, sometimes things happen."

He said he did not know if the male spectator was thrown out of the ground.

"I'd like to think they were but you would have to ask security, that's their job not mine," he said.

You'd think the guy had punched him the way he's carrying on.

Hasn't stopped Jon Ralph at Herald Sun claiming that the footage shows the fan "whacking" Ross

Congrats to North. In the end it was a game that personified what a Final should be - high intensity, close game and a really good atmosphere. Gutted that we couldn't hold onto the lead, but am looking forward to the 2015 season.

"Ralphy", "Robbo", "Damo/Purple/Warrior", "Caro"..............I reckon one of the great indictments on the football "industry" is that some media folk see themselves as an essential part of it and have been encouraged and allowed to do so. An opinion piece from a newspaper journalist should never ever become a back page lead.

Lol the quality of sports journalism, especially AFL journalism is so poor. Don't get me started on Caro...

The thing that infuriates me is that Damian Barrett is employed BY the AFL. He contributes a weekly column and a short video segment with Garry Lyon on the AFL website. Just over a month ago he actually said on Triple M "I'm in the anti-Essendon camp". How can that actually be allowed?

what about Dayne Beams off to Brisbane possibly or maybe just staying at Collingwood?
A good news story with Mitch Clark ready to come back into the AFL? Where do you think he will end up?

Leroy Jetta will enter free agency after opting to leave the Bombers.

Nothing to do with ASADA, simple fell behind in the pecking order and has only played 10 games in 2 years and he didn't have a contract for next year so he's jumped before he was pushed.

Dream scenario; Freo. He's an East Fremantle product and the Dockers desperately need tall forward options. Staying close to family would be the best for his wellbeing.

Apparently he's still on the Dees' list so they need to work out a trade.

I don't have a thing against Port Adelaide but it is a bit sad to see Richmond's nine game run amount to nothing. That said, they'd have had their work cut out next week in any event.

So next week it's:
Geelong vs North Melb - winner gets Sydney in Sydney
Fremantle vs Port Adelaide - winner gets Hawthorn in Melbourne

Should be two terrific games.

Nice, so a Swan v Hawks final is very possible, however, I would love to see a Freo v Swans GF, sorry @Matty76

It's almost written in the stars isn't it? Franklin vs Hawthorn in the Grand Final....

I still doubt Fremantle's ability to kick a score at the MCG, in either a Prelim or a Grand Final.

This is fair dinkum the best time of the year....spring has sprung (finally), the birds are singing.......and the footy is exciting!
