Talking about Fletcher hitting 400 games

David King says "only two other people have done it in the history of the game"

There's about 10-15 blokes that have hit 400+ games of senior football across VFA/VFL/SANFL/WAFL

I do cringe at the lazy "history of the game" throw-away line too mate. Peter Carey played 448 games for Glenelg in the SANFL, for example!

If there is only one rule change during the off season id like it to be the following: If a tackle is legal and within the rules at first point, and only slips high if forced high by the player being tackled by means of lifting his arms or dropping to his knees then its play on. I think we all know what team does this, and every time I see it happen it makes me see red

Actually it's funny you say that mate. I've had the sound turned down on the TV (been YouTubing old Triple M highlights) and looked up just as the incident you spoke about occurred and thought very much the same thing. The same should apply to players who use their head as a battering ram when met with a front-on tackle (eg like Tom Lynch from Adelaide last week).

More dominos fall in to place - Gold Coast and West Coast are all but done for the season. Essendon will probably beat the Suns next week in anyway. I reckon Adelaide will beat Collingwood into eighth spot by percentage. Crows have Richmond (H), North Melb (A) and St Kilda (H).........Collingwood have Brisbane (H), GWS (A) and Hawthorn (H).

What a terrific season it has been!

Pretty bitter West Coast let that one slip. Bad call aside, they had enough opportunities to seal it, but they turned it over in their 50 and let Essendon get out too easily.

And then you have Heppell standing their on his own in the middle.

This is what I posted on 30th March:

As a Hawthorn supporter, it is sad to see what Lance Frankiln has become - he was a shag on a rock last night, he just looks so out of place in that Sydney team. He runs the risk of being remembered for how his career ends rather than for being a once-in-a-generation player.

Nostradamus I'm not! More like Nostrad**khead! Humble pie for dinner tonight :-)

Mat, the real concern is that mine was one of about six posts about various players and teams that I could have used as an example ha ha ha :-)

How was that for a game. A game of two halves doesn't quite do it enough justice! Well done Hawks, I seriously thought at half time it was Geelong by how far again but the boys really came out to play in the second half. How much did we get shafted by the umpires in the first half though? Just shocking. 3 free kicks in 2 minutes and none of them were even actually there, even the commentators said Hawks were stiff. And the Oscar goes to..................Jimmy Bartel.

What a peculiar final round of the Home and Away season and what a mouth-watering line up for the first week of finals:

Hawthorn vs Geelong
Sydney vs Fremantle
North Melb vs Essendon
Port Adelaide vs Richmond

I can't see anyone from outside the top four winning it to be honest.
