2014 AFL Season - Spoilers Inside

The Mitch Clark situation could get ugly, from what I have heard he has completely blindsided Melbourne
The MFC has been helping Mitch with training working with him upto only a few weeks ago under the impression that he will play with them again(this is why he has not been delisted yet) only to come out and say he wants to play for another team, Roos and the club are furious and it is the reason why Melbourne has asked for a priority pick, apparently his doctor has recommended him not return to the environment where he had depression and seek a fresh start, the AFL are aware of all this and it's part of the reason they came out and said a club can only get a priority pick in exceptional circumstances (a player getting sick etc) so will be interested to see how this pans out

Yep all fair points but I doubt he would come out and say it if a club or 2 weren't already lined up, I am hearing stkilda mentioned but they do have pick 1 in pre season draft so makes sence

Reports that he's headed to the Hawk via a trade with the Dees

but that's coming from Malthouse's whipping boy, Mark Stevens.

Like they need another forward.

I reckon James Frawley might go to Geelong, don't see why we (Hawthorn) would need another tall defender at this stage. If Brian Lake continues his September form he could play for another couple of years and with Gibson, Stratton and Schoenmakers the defence is covered. As for Mitch Clark - personal issues aside, again I'm not sure where he would fit in position-wise.

Every player at the moment is being linked to the top sides, I can see the AFL becoming like the EPL in 5 years with same teams always up top free agency will speed up this process which will be sad for the sport, all good if you follow those sides I guess

I think Mitch Clark will go to either the Saints or the Tigers.
Saints need another key forward
and i just have a gut feel that somehow the tigers will pick him up

Probably a pick late 30's to 40's possibly 50's all depends on who wants him and how much they are willing to risk for him.

Well going by the way Roosy talked tonight on 360 the Dees would want their pound of flesh, as he rates him up with Jones as the best player on their list.

That or Clark quits and enters the pre-season draft

Problem with entering pre season draft if saints don't want him Melbourne have next pick, only thing he can do is enter national draft with a price on his Haida similar to what Luke ball did

Its like people forgot Carlisle spent most of this year as a fish out of water.

THIS IS WHY DEMOCRACY DOESN'T WORK!

It is what it is - regardless of who chose the 22 there will be complaints. It will be exactly the same with the All Australian team and on Brownlow Medal night....and when the mark and goal of the year are selected. Must admit that the only individual awards I take any interest in are the club Best and Fairests and the Norm Smith Medal, the rest are fairly subjective I reckon.

MVP Awards Night winners 2014:

Best First year player: Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)

Most Courageous player: Joel Selwood (Geelong)

Best Captain: Luke Hodge (Hawthorn) :D:thumbsup: I definitely agree with this.

Most Valuable Player/Leigh Matthews Trophy: Nat Fyfe (Fremantle)

Is it just me or does every year Joel Selwood gets rated as favourite or near favourite and doesn't win it.
*even though Joel selwood is from where I live i think some players might think he is an annoying, smart a** and arrogant? Anyone else?

That could just be my thoughts and mainly because of this great rivalry with Geelong!

Speaking of Selwood

Hard luck for Banfield, delisted by the Tigs. Wasn't all that long ago he was showing a lot of promise at the Lions.

He can always come back to the Black Ducks :D
