Sounds all good to me!!

I'd like access to the FA market, there's some players not drafted who I'd like to use.

Hey can we adjust the amount of games? If we've got 4 teams, we only play 5 games each. I just noticed I only play the Blazers once, but Lakers & Bulls twice.

yo scotty were you able to link your 360 account with your 2k account? i keep on getting this error screen when i try.

That's just the first round mate. That's why I was thinking if 2k Automatically breaks rounds up into 5 games, then we should make 1 round go for at least 2 weeks whereas right now each round runs for 1 week with 5 games each round.

Also, I set the quarter length to 8 minutes like last time around, everyone happy with that? Anything under 7 and it just goes too quick IMO.

[EDIT] Sorry Scotty, straight answer is you can't adjust how many games per round, only how long each round goes for. So I guess 5 games per round is the only option.

and for note my mate's 360 name is drumii. i get the list of names so far so he can add everyone in over the next day or 2

8 mins is good.

I thought it was a season tho, so why do we have rounds?
Wouldnt you set it at say best of 5/7 per round for playoffs, and say a 10 game season?

The playoffs are set to best of 7. The season is still seperate. Look at it like AFL, each round has one game, wheras in 2k9 each round has 5 games scheduled.

It's still a season. The Computer automatically breaks the season into rounds of 5 games and the only option you have is to choose how long a round should go for. I guess it basically does this to keep the season in some sort of order. Basically if you don't play your games, they would be locked out once the next round begins (I'm predicting).

I'm not going to play any official test league games (besides muck around games), so come next tuesday I'll get an idea of what happens to those games - Do they get simmed automatically, Who wins etc etc.

Yeah just wondering about that, if a round is set to 1 week (example only) and we play longer, or don't play our games in that week, can we go longer?

I'm thinking maybe 20 games could be good? Depending on committment of course.

Looks like we're playing 5 games a week, so that'd only be 2 weeks + playoffs.

yeah a 20 game season sounds good. But I think 5 games a week is a little too much, so if we extended a round to 2 weeks then we'd have 2 weeks to get 5 games in - 2 one week and 3 the next kind of thing. Same deal as we had for the tournament basically.

So that would mean the season length would stretch to 8 weeks of 20 games and then Playoffs/Finals. As it stands 5 a week would run the season 4 weeks.

How many games a week is everyone looking to play? I'll go with what everyone prefers of course. I just think 5 a week is a little too much.

Sucks there's not more options available there.

As for games that don't get played within a round, i won't know until tuesday if they simply don't count or there's an option to sim them.

I'd be looking 2-3 a week.

Although it's hard judging really, cos I could easily fit in 2 in 1 night, and if I played 2 or 3 nights, that's 4-6 games.

I'm sure others have a busy schedule and won't be able to commit to many games.

How bout we try this dummy league out and then we can know for certain.

i'm probably about 2 games a week based on current work and study commitments

Has anyone tried any trades or signings? I'll look into that later on tonight. Feel free to make a very unballanced offer, as in my best for your worst, I'll accept it, just curious if the computer will step in and reject it if it's unballanced. Other than that, there's nothing really to test. We know how 8 min quarter games play out already. I might have a mess around game sometime over the weekend with anyone that's online. The last thing to test (unless anyone wants to check anything in specific - let me know) is the unplayed games within a round. I won't know until the round has finished on tuesday what happens to games not played.

Also, we're still on 9 definites, waiting on a mate to get back to me and see if any of last 6 live contacts are interested. We can't kick it off until we have at least an even 10.

I'm trying to get a new network cable for xbox together and I shoulb be able to jump on tomorra morning.

I havent tried any trades, but I know you can do it online... I might try one now actually.

EDIT:

You can only look at the Trading Block online or Analyze a possible Trade, NOT perform a trade.

I guess we'll have to try it on the actual game. (in the morning, lol).

Tried it (Mo Williams - 87 for D. Wade 103) and it only analyzed it.

I'm only half way through todays game now (watching without knowing what happened), I'm gonna have to get an early one after this finishes. If you guys get a chance, test out the FA and some trades (ballenced, unballenced etc) and let me know how it goes. I'll definitely be online over the weekend so send through that offer for Wade and I'll accept it.

I got another yes from an NZ player tonight, and with ducky's mate in that makes an even 10. I'm still waiting to hear back from my mate, and if we could get another then 12 would be perfect but if you guys are egar to run with 10 then we'll officially kick it off next monday, run the draft and hopefully be playing games the same week.

Can anyone get one more player to make an even 12?

Scotty can set it up once we know how many we got on sunday/monday, but not before we know exactly how many we got, we have to specify the amount of teams when setting it up. If you want me to I don't mind mate, I'll do it, I just wanted to get the ball rolling. :v:

Looks like pretty much any trade will be allowed, except for an unbalanced one (2 for 1 deals, etc).

It'll tell you if a trade proposal is unbalanced with regards to player rankings, but allows you to continue passed it.

There's no FA market, so if the players arent picked, they're not available.
(well I couldnt find one anywhere)
