Which Stats Are Better ?

Dude, you have lost the plot again. Crapping on about Jordan's career achievements and so on. Of course, there is NO comparison. Jordan IS the best player of all time.

However, at the same age MJ was not as good as LBJ. All I'm saying is that is an amazing thing to say about LBJ and who knows? Maybe he will go on to have a better career than MJ.

One of these days, there will be a player who surpasses MJ. Maybe it will be Lebron, maybe it wont. Maybe we will be dead before it happens. But rest assured, it will happen.

Natural selection. Darwinism. It's a fact of human nature.

Some day, when we are old old men, there will be some youngsters on a forum talking about Roy Gibbons, the best player in the history of the NBA. Someone will bring up Michael Jordan and the rest of the guys will laugh and call him a dinosaur.

Who would have thought that Ian Perkins 1500m record would be considered slow in 10 years?

Who would have thought the Africans would beat 434?

Who would have thought DMac would lead a team to a championship at 41?

Who would have thought that a case of 03-04 exquisite would crack $7000USD?

There is always tomorrow... and there is always better!

Hail King Jimmy, Hail. I agree with you. Comparitively, career-wise, LBJ is in a better position than Jordan was. Will he be better than Jordan??? Well, Jimmy (nor I) are saying that LBJ will be, but of the current crop of players, he has the most likelihood of being better than Mike. Only time will answer this question, so nothing can be gained by arguing this, At the moment, any comparison 10yrs from now is only going to be in the form of an opinion, and from these, most people differ on opinions.

Remember, people from the early NBA probably thought no-one would overtake Mikan. Then came Chamberlain & the Celtic powerhouse teams. People thought that no-one would fare better than Wilt, but to some extent Magic & Bird attained this, and Jordan especially. Some even said (in the 90's), that the feats achieved by Magic & Bird would never be beaten, but MJ proved this wrong. There will be someone who is more dominant than Jordan. It's just that at this present point in time, a few are suggesting LBJ (although I wouldn't mind hedging my bet with Wade).

White chocolate, you're not ready to join the big boys. :)

Are you talking about "Kick it to me, kick it to me?" LMAO

And Clarkey and JJ are right LIKE I SAID earlier LJ is more advanced at his age than MJ. It will be all up to external influences now to see how far he goes..

hang on a second.. what has lebron done more than jordan hasnt in the same time in league? or are you saying his age? lebrons had what say 3 years + experience in the league that college would equal to.. anyways, you worship your shrine and what you beleive is god.. and i'll worship mine

lebron has hughes/marshall/the big Z and the list can go on..thats more talent than what mj had
I respectfully disagree with that assessment.
Pippen and Rodman are HOFers.
BJ and Horace played in All Star Games.
Kukoc, Harper, Paxon and Kerr all knew thier roles.
I think MJ had the stronger supporting cast.

I do recall actually saying that I don't necessarily think LBJ is great to watch. I most certainly don't worship the guy (or any other pro athletes), although by your own admission, you worship MJ.

Don't mean to go off-topic here, actually **** it, I do... Tell me about how MJ helped the development of Kwame Brown.

yes mj broke him...

and it was either going to be chandler/brown but brown destroyed chandler at the wizards camp on a private one/one game.. so they went with brown, and brown came in totally unprepared and had a terrible mindset that wasnt expected, and mj ended up breaking him big time..

i take it you meant "Then why did MJ want him on the Wizards so bad?" and not "back"

He ridiculed him in front of the other players in his rookie season. Called him a girl, laughed at him, mocked him. It's no wonder he has never had any confidence. Imagine going through that as a rookie, served out by one of your childhood legends.

Anyhow, I digress. But I guess my basic point is that I don't rate MJ like many do. He was a great player on a great team. He was a questionable character. Not the class of e.g. Joe Dumars. (Don't know if you were old enough to remember him ;) )
