On Again, Off Again..
We watched a new one yesterday, 'Alpha Dog', and when I heard it starred Justin Timberlake I was thinking it'd be kinda bad. But he's actually good in this, tries a little hard to be gangsta but has alot of funny moments. The story has been done before, but it's a cool/funny/tense movie involving young twentysomething drug dealers.. Bruce Willis is in it as well which is alright

On Again, Off Again..
We went and saw Smokin' Aces on the big screen last night. It's a really cool movie! A great cast and lost of laughs and action scenes. Ben Affleck can be happy that he didn't act in a piece of crap this time around. Ryan Reynolds and Jeremy Piven are excellent in it. 4.5 outta 5.

i saw that too.. it was allright, i'd give it a 3.5 outta 5.. i liked some of the weapons in it.. and i wasnt sure if it was meant to be funny or not.. characters wheren't built enough, especially the las vegas king (without giving too much away) his character could have been built up alot better..

fear and loathing in los vegas - 4/5 quite amusing, johnny depp is a great actor isnt he? But a bizarre movie none the less.. though i was helplessly attracted to it
texas chainsaw massacre the beginning - 4/5.. quite gross, but i liked it.. im a fan for those kind of movies, though im becoming a "girly pants" so says my fiance`.. what would she know

Great cast, but the same old storyline. Justin Timberlake isn't too bad as an actor, could never play a tough guy though, too weedy. Also has LL Cool J, Morgan Freeman, Dermot Mulroney & Kevin Spacey. 3.5/5

No no... you clearly haven't seen barley legal..
i believe what happens at the end with the toads is called a "deus ex machina", an act of god that brings about a resolution or some shit like that (go to film school and you too can learn useless tidbits like that!).
I hated magnolia, a pretentious piece of tripe. i believe mr burns said it best: "too much artsy, not enough fartsy".
movies ive seen recently:
The Departed: Good, but not great. its Scorcese, so your never gonna get a total turkey but its no way near as good as his earlier work. I dont get why he continues his working with Leo Decaprio, the guy cannot act. 7/10
The Prestige: A mind **** of a film, i was pretty confused after the first time seeing but it became clearer the second time. Hugh Jackman cant act either, and Christian Bale's cockney accent was attrocious. 7.5/10

I watched "He got Game" and that was a really good movie. Denzel always seems to get you hooked and really into the movie. Not to mention it was a basketball movie that makes it all the better

What let the film down was the acting of Ray Allen and fellow (ex) NBA players like Walter McCarty, Travis Best and couple of others too.

Wached a couple of mocvies over the last 2 nights at the cinemas, first up:
Hot Fuzz - Starts off a bit slow, bit strange, but funny at parts, but then the last half hour is hilarious! Some damn funny one liners and great characters! 3.5/5
Bra Boys - Didn't know much about these guys, assumed they were thugs, but realised afterwards they are just a bunch of guys who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and use surfing to get out of that system. Good interesting doco, worst part is Russell Crowe narrating! 4/5

I watched 300 last night, man it's awesome. It was a graphic novel written by Frank Miller (Sin City) many years ago about 300 Spartan soldiers going into battle against an entire Persian army. The battle scenes are super gory and the story doesn't flow as good as it did in the novel but it's a really cool, epic movie.
