No problems mate. I'm gonna give it another try tomorrow night before I write it off. Love the 2k series though so not sure there'll be much point getting both.

Good point mate! I've kinda retired 2k8, haven't played in months. When I get 2k9 I'll probably look to get a mini league/tourney happening, if not a proper league, depending on how hard it is to fill. Between mates, ALO members now on Xbox and whoever shows interest here, I'm sure we can get something decent happening. If nothing more you'll have a few more Aussies to play against. But a regular tourney or a mini league would be fun :v:

Sweet. I'll be gone from the 25th until the 18th so won't have the game until I'm back, but say mid to late October, we'll open up a thread, see if there's much interest and go from there. :thumbsup:
 
i'd be in it for sure.....I have a PS3 and XBOX 360 (and i won a Nintendo Wii today :P) What console will most people be buying it for because i don't want to get stuck getting a PS3 version when everyone else gets 360 and vice versa.

Played a bit of 2K8 online but only ever managed to get Yankee servers and subsequently the delay was crazy...let go of the shot at the top of the jump but actually shoot the ball as you're hitting the ground.

Only have the 360 so I'm limited and I'll definitely be getting 2k9. :)
 
ill probably get both, but at the end of december. and i got xbox live as well fellas.

the worst was playing the people with 2k8 and having them quit the game with 10 seconds to go wen they are losing.
 
So people think XB360 is the better console to PS3? I'll be in the market for 1 of the 2 come this summer so I can then get NBA Live 09 ;)

Yep, also i had a 100% positive feedback after 26 games and then someone gave me negative and the reason he used was :swearing/Abusive. And i don't even have a microphone???

Too true!!

I too have some negative feedback, an I'm not that good at the game!! ha ha.

I tend now to only play guys I know.

Would be happy to join a local tourney if you guys wanna hold one! Online of course, bit hard for local play, ha ha.

I think Colin & I still have unfinished business.... I think it was Atlanta 2 - Dallas 2, right?? :v:
 
hey question.....when you guys play online....does it use up much MBs?/GBs?....I want to play online with my PS3 but unsure of the download usage part...i don't want it eating up all my downlaods

I've never really tested it but I've heard it uses next to nothing of your data cap. Easiest way to find out is play a couple of hours, check your usage before and afterwards and you'll have your answer.
 
So who's played the NBA Live 09 Demo?

Damn, how disappointing is this!!!

Enhanced graphics...CHECK

Enhanced pre-game animations...CHECK

Enhanced startup menu...CHECK

Enchanced gameplay & motion capture... ... ... ... ... ERROR...ERROR...SYSTEM MALFUNCTION...

I just could not believe how "basic" the gameplay looked on this Demo. I did like hearing Marv Albert on the comentary, but that's just a small "up" for something that's way over-shadowed by piss-poor gameplay.

Looks like it's another year for 2K Sports!!!
