I think there is a divide between people who have talked personally to Terry and those that haven't. He seems to have allayed the frustrations of some members who were previously critical of the way in which things were being managed. Most of us here have collected for years and are equally addicted, yet some are privvy to information, some are not. That can only breed resentment. I still can't fathom why there is no dialogue between ESP and the collectors. I read through the 2013 Elte forum the other day and someone mentioned that Terry does read the forum. It had about two months of collectors talking excitedly about the product, ratios, no 1s etc and yet no indication was given to us to clarify some of the misnomers we had about the product despite it been very clear that we had the wrong end of the stick for a few things.
Forget resellers, nothing will hurt the small business owners more than collectors feeling as if they are getting minformation or getting nasty surprises when they bust. I would normally buy several boxes on a pre-purchase arrangement with those dealers and then a few more after release. Without that information and trust in the product, small business are just not going to get that money I would have spent prior to release; full stop.
From what I gather, Sportscollectorscards did not receive wholesale product for the Elite release, I would be interested to hear what impact, if any, it had on small business to have had him less active on their market. It feels like an excuse to me and I'd love for someone to educate me further on this. (Perhaps by PM if people are concerned about protecting their wicket) Do our sellers rely on much business outside this site? Being out of the Sydney I don't have the face to face connections to know how it all really works. Surely prices are more affected by how much product is released onto the market.
I will always buy my boxes off this site or through the NZ distributor and fully support the sellers here. I'm not sure there is really anyone on this site that wouldn't.
