COMC Mailbox Thread

I just hope that once it gets immensely popular which I'm sure it will, the fees don't increase too much.

I really hope they work out processing fees for other collectables and even boxes of cards maybe.... then it will be perfect... Had to let a topps authenticated Deacon Jones mini helmet pass the other day as I was unsure of what would happen once it hit my mailbox

Love your banner btw mate.

Stupid Question: I have just purchased a cheap card (non-sport) to test the COMC service for myself.

Do I have to have instore credit with COMC to send the card or do they send an invoice to pay when the time comes?

OMG, this could be the answers to my biggest beef getting card from US - those crazy expensive postal fees. Just finished reading some of their blog posts -got some questions of my own though...

1. Can we pay COMC using paypal ?
2. How they determine the cost posting cards and graded cards from US to OZ - anyone ever getting a bulk graded cards shipped in 1 lot? Graham (MOD) may be you can tell us a bit more with your PSA cards?
3. Do COMC offer registered postal service with with tracking for their parcel/ mails to OZ? is there any insurance options available for those expensive cards?
4. Has anyone here ever lodged "card is not as described" EBAY dispute once their cards were opened by COMC- would definitely keen to know what do (with COMC help- I presume) to work out resolution with seller

Thanks in advance for any insight:thumbsup:

I can answer 1 and 3

1 - COMC basically only uses payment through paypal so no troubles there.

3 - Their are varying shipping options depending on how much security/protection you feel you need (including registered) not sure about insurance options though.

Yes they use credit you have. Its minimum $5 processing fee. You'd need to double check their site for minimum amounts you can add for credit.

i see some people have had redemptions sent there. Do they just forward the redemptions on to you once the end of the month is up and your mailbox is loaded to there system?

Same as any other item. They forward it to you at the end of the month. Or when you request processing. I have a feeling in the future they may just send you the code.

Any idea what happens with ebay/paypal if comc never receive the cards from the ebay seller? (a dodgy seller realises you want it sent to comc and never sends it?) - standard paypal claim or will paypal side with the seller as it's not sent to the registered verified paypal address?

Just a quick question, what happens if your COMC account has no credit in it when they recieve your cards from eBay?

Hi, Matty83. I want to clarify that this is not a mail-forwarding service. We can definitely ship items anywhere you need us to, but only after they've been processed. The benefit is that you can buy some cards on eBay and have them shipped to your COMC Mailbox, then buy some cards on COMC and whenever you're ready - in a few days or a few months - have everything shipped out together in one package. Or you can re-sell on COMC and make some money.
The one thing we aren't set up to do is just receive mail and ship it out again without processing it. Processing is $0.50/card regardless of how many or how few packages.

Thanks!
Jeremy, COMC
