COMC Mailbox Thread

This question/querry may have been raised before, but what if the seller puts other stuff in that you don't want? 'bonus' cards, old base etc is there an option to have them taken out so they don't get processed and sent?

not sure if it has been covered in this thread but I asked COMC On twitter about fees:

@CheckOutMyCards hi guys! Mailbox question once it is initially opened is it then opened monthly and therefore charged the $5 fee even if there is no new packages? So in effect it is $5/month minimum to maintain? I'd be using it only a few times a year

@mattwrightson it's per use, not monthly; once your cards are processed, the mailbox is "closed" until you send more cards in. Thanks!

Good to know there's not as I will probably only use a few times a year.

I had a card sent to comc and it's marked on USPS as being delivered so just wondering how long does it usually take to receive an email from them?

Took about 2 - 3 weeks to receive mail i had purchased from them. Seems to take a week or so for them to receive a process from the points its paid / dispatched from the US seller.

Hmmmm ive noticed my redemption's have been redeemed :cautious:
What are you sneaky fellas up to?????
just noticed the two I had sent there have also been redeemed,
not really happy about this because we can no longer keep track of it and I
was going to try sell one unredeemed:mad:

Thats part of their policy... don't bother sending redemption cards to them unless you want this to occur... Some people are totally fine with it, others not. They make no secret of this being the case in their blogs, on here also, etc

When they do it before they released the info it's actually quite rude and unfair and possibly illegal. I won't be using them for redemptions ever again, purely because they did not ask me first.

Trying to get these cards is going to be an absolute head f*#$ especially if they don't get made and need to be replaced.

If I knew this would be the case I would have NEVER! sent redemptions to them in the first place.

What also doesn't sit well with me is the possibility that I'm going to have to pay for these cards (again) regardless of what they say I'm sure I will.

Plus the benefit of having these redemptions sent to comc was to have them shipped to me as a bulk lot.

Now I've either got to wait for the last one (which could be year/s) or pay for individual postage on every single card.

BS man, absolute BS.

Any updates on their handling of redemptions? I checked their blog and couldn't see anything, if someone could point me in the right direction on there it would be appreciated...

Hey guys, late last week I received my first mailbox shipment from comc.

In that shipment I had 6 redemptions, none of those redemptions had been redeemed.

Just FYI

So these are sitting in your comc mailbox, or you have them in hand?
If they are at comc they will be redeemed by comc mate.

I don't believe they have any right at all to redeem these cards... They haven't paid for them, some people may be happy with this but I'm sure as hell not.

What about people that like to keep the redemption card to go with the redeemed card. Will COMC send both?

This happened to me, the seller sent 8 freebies old cards.
I contacted comc and asked them to donate the cards, so I wont get charge.
