I got a special 2 disc edition of Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas for my birthday, one of my all-time favourite movies (and books). It has an awesome commentary with Johnny Depp and Benicio and some twisted deleted scenes. It's a seriously warped work of art :smt023

fear and loathing is 1 of the weirdest and funniest movies i've ever seen so many funny bits but the part where the guy has trouble gettin off the merry go round cracked me up, on a diff note i just scored some movies not dvd's but vhs, $1 sale at local vid shop scored freeway, bloodsport, underseige, enemy of the state, the truman show, replicant, murder by numbers, saving private ryan, identity, fallen, double team, unbreakable, whitenoise and more so was pretty happy

Thats one of those movies ive been meaning to rent or buy for bloody years and never get around to it. My DVD collection recently has acquired:

Perfect Blue An anime by my fave anime director Satoshi Kon, its seriously twisted and about as far as you can get from that kiddy shit like dragonball z. highly recomended fro anyone who thinks anime is all tits and guns etc

Also, check out his anime TV series Paranoia Agent...just an amazing series. One of the best, most complex and mature works ive ever seen in any artistic format. defies description but is one of the very few things that has ever really left me speechless for days afterwards. it pushes the boundaries of anime...

Millers Crossing Absolute masterpiece by the Coen Brothers. Up there with the Godfather/GF2 almost. Coens write the best dialogue!

also picked up seinfeld season 7 and scrubs season 4, two of the greatest sitcoms ever!

OK, here's one for the ages, we picked up the original Never Ending Story (1987) for $12 at K-Mart.

Also got the Batman Anthology (doesnt include Batman Begins) for $45.

when i get some money im getting these 2:

nothing wrong with dbz

are you kidding!? DBZ and all the other dragon ball spinoffs are the dregs of anime, just cheap, unimaginative, uninspired, merchandising opportunities. if you can tell me why DBZ is a great anime show, go for it, i wanna hear it.

because it's awes 2 watch and u don't have to read into it to much like some other masterpieces and don't forget jza we all have opinions and preferences of our own, i don't like the toons u mentioned but not gonna tell u there crap

thats your persuasive argument??? "dont have to read into it" = dont have to use a brain cell. each to their own of course but if your gonna say theres nothing wrong with DBZ, im just going to argue that. and i guarantee you havent seen any of the anime i mentioned. no one who watches and enjoys 3rd rate pap like DBZ could watch something like perfect blue.

no i haven't seen perfect blue but i generally don't like toons bar dbz, i guess u must be right being the superior brain and all, all bow

Finally got the "official' versions of Arrested Development season three and My Name Is Earl season one.
Earl has a lot of bonus', one including a Bad Karma episode where he makes a list of all the people who have screwed him over and decides to get revenge. It's classic. Jason Lee in drag is hilarious!
The blooper reels and commentaries on both seasons are top quality =D>

I've recently baught OZ seasons 1-6 for around $110 incl. Postage from Ebay. This is an awesome drama series about a US prison, Currently season 5 (i think) is showing at 10pm Mondays on SBS.
i also baught SCARY MOVIE 4, a couple of weeks ago from Blockbuster Video for $9.95, Only because it's like only $3 less to hire it overnight!! Ive noticed there are heaps of great value Ex-rental DVD's for $5-$20 which include new release titles.... Beats dealing with the late fees, and you get to keep it!
