The OFFICIAL OLYMPIC MENS BASKETBALL Thread

In an ESPN article a week or so again it listed the top 3 international prospects in this olympics. Two or them were Mills and Ingles. Does anybody know why Ingles has only been given garbage minutes for the tournament?

i agree.

it's the last game, no consolation games, get on the freakin floor Bogut.

quite frankly very dissapointed with the Aussie bigs, if they had actually SHOWN UP this game would have been within 15 with Aus putting on some major pressure.

Anstey - STOP JACKING 3's!! It's great that you like doing a Dirk impression and you can hit every 1/3 but seriously get in the high post get some close jumpers, maybe DRAW A FOUL EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE and try to hit the glass.

Bogut - your meant to be the heart and soul of this team, play like it for once (although props for bringing it against Russia and Lithuania, 22 + 23 points).

David Andersen - I feel embarrassed that I always overhype you. 1/6 from the floor, all bad fadeaways with a hand in the face, let alone can't rebound the ball or get in there.

Big guys really let us down, weren't physical at all, didn't get a body on their players and all wanted to shoot the long J. Get Nathan Jawai in there please!

But anyway, props to CJ and Glen who are the vets did a great job (especially Glen having words with Wade).

Props to the young guys, look out 2012 we'll have NBA high calibre players in Patty Mills, Joe Ingles, Brad Newley and Dave Barlow, not to mention Nathan Jawai, and probably Andrew Ogilvy.

No offense to all the Bogut lovers, he played great in the L this past season but if I think he's risking losing the title as our best player in future international play if he doesn't show more heart and Pat Mills keeps getting better.

Well said!!!! Im not a bogut fan and dont think I ever will be!!!

He was obnoxious when I met him and I guess he's got the idea he's got 60mil now so he doesn't really need to do anything else!!!

And the other big men didnt do much either!!! (besides Ansteys massive block earlier in the game on Dwight!!!!)

But major props are needed for Saville, Bruton and Mills!!!!

Also for Ingles!!! That dude is sick!!! Played better than half of the main guys and played a few minutes!!!

Just needs to work on his fouling! But at 20, he has time to work on that over the next year or so!!!

Well done to most of the team but Bogut really didn't redeem himself to me!!!

He's not the heart of the team! Just the most well known!!!
 
Anyone watching the Argentina/Greece game on SBS now? Great game! A bit scrappy but its been close the whole game.

Delfino on fire in the 4th with 15 points so far.

I'm guessing without the opportunity to call a time out, there was a rush of blood, and they tried to win it all with a 3.

Great game though. Can Argentina take it to the Americans? Gee I hope so!
