The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

He comes in, commits 2 turnovers and throws up a brick...

Ah well, least he got out there so that means the starters did their job.

Great series for Houston and I'll say it again - the young kids showed alot of heart, if Houston are back to full health next season this will have been a real learning curve for them as squad. Who would have thought this series could go 7 games after the loss of Yao in game 3? =D>

I think a healthy Tmac and Yao would've made it much harder for the Lakers. But you are only as good as the squad you have on court, and they should be giving 100% no matter what their names are! They'll have to be watched next season!

Scola played a good series, lost his temper a bit in this game, good to see Odom walk away from something he should've been a little pissed about!

Awesome series by the Rockets. Now on to meet the Nuggets...with their tough D, good offence and a great mix between inside (Nene etc) and outside (Billups, Anthony and JR when hot). Not an ideal match up for the Lakers...we need strong D from Gasol and Fisher...if that is possible!

Now hopefully a Magic win make this a great start to the day! =D>

Well done to the Lakers, they come out and played how they should of the whole series, finally got the two 7fts to hurt us inside. Have seen the game yet so I can't comment too much, best of luck Laker fans with the Nuggets. I'm sure you'll match up better with them (a part from @ PG)

Excuse me? Spoilt brat, standard fan etc etc.... There's 2 ways to approach a conversation with me and you did both in the same post so which is it? Man up and take a win like that without a personal attack or you're gonna get hell come monday and you know it. Not once this series have I taken a win like that and turned it into something personal with you so if you wanna play that game bud, a simple yes or no answer will do as a reply and then bring on monday....

Oz this wasn't in all means directed at you mate, hopefully you realised this (I think you do after reply after the original). It was just a statement in general about Laker bandwagon fans (i.e Fakers) not true fans that actually aren't that 1 eyed. The only part which was to you was where I wrote your name.

But the fact of the matter is this is one of the worst examples of officiating I've seen in a payofff game in 20 years of watching the NBA.

LOL I know it's was a spelling mistake but funny none the less given the current climate when in when you mention officiating......Tim Donaghy
Speaking of which-
I nearly cried yesterday when they put up the officials for game 7 and the head official was Joey Crawford.
I mean David Stern really isn't even trying to be subtle anymore. Yeah, the one game where the Rockets/Lakers matchup almost ended up in a brawl... guess who the lead referee was? That's right -- Joey Crawford!

Anyway I'm sure you'se enjoyed this series as much as I did(yeah finally into the second rnd, the spell is broken) and it'll probably help that lakers out in the long run (well maybe not for wear and tare (esp for Bynum/odom)
Can't wait for next season!!! with a full health roster (:ermm::^o )

looks like a great start to the day for you!

Really gotta take my hat-off to the Rockets for winning 2 out of 3 games despite not having Yao Ming.

I can't believe LAL dropped 2 games with a frontline of Bynum, Gasol and Odom against Luis Scola and Chuck Hayes (??!).

Aaron Brooks showed us stuff for the future.

But give credit where credit is due - the Lakers with an emphatic win today, can't wait for LAL vs DEN!

1 hour and 10 minutes to go before the Conference Finals officially kick off! :woot:
