You gotta wonder how they pick the common card players.
This was my thought too....
No Moylan/RCG/DWZ for the Panthers in the Base (and Mojo sets)
No Widdop for St George
No Mitchell Pearce for the Roosters
Seems very strange.

Strange they left Inglis out of the commons too but I assume that's because of his injury. Still has the captain/all stars cards thoughThis was my thought too....

Don't think that's the reason mate as we have Robbie Rochow in all our cards and I don't think he ever started a game for us. Team lists are a little poor in my opinion.Strange they left Inglis out of the commons too but I assume that's because of his injury. Still has the captain/all stars cards though
I think he started at prop once or twice. It's nice to have a card of him but it's a shame it's a card of a player who left.Don't think that's the reason mate as we have Robbie Rochow in all our cards and I don't think he ever started a game for us. Team lists are a little poor in my opinion.
Why is that?I totally regret my choice to get a case now
Disappointed to have Martin really dominate this set for the panthers. Hes a good player but as he has gone to cowboys its abit annoying. Understand this set is finalised early on in the year so i get why this happened. Also dont understand how peta hiku (gone), dean whare get a start in the common set before RCG, Moylan etc.
Also not a massive James Tamou fan - but that is just my personal opinion. Would have preferred to see Merrin instead. But at least it is a different panthers signature card (as really on the term 'league sensations' only 3 older players they could pick would be merrin/tamou/wallace - and considering wallace has had a card before i can live with the Tamou card).
Interested to see how the panthers Luke Lewis cards will look. As by the looks ill have to collect those too
Cheers
Brplat

Surprisingly the price for them were at $400 and $1000 but have dropped $300 and $700-$800 respectlyIt will be interesting to see how quick the inserts move and what prices. This is 5th year of elite and every year without fail inserts nearly halve in price after the first month. I think that the Emeralds will be popular but are collectors willing to pay 1k for a low production parallel set?
The inclusion of the Emerald will also drive down Ruby & Sapphire prices somewhat.

It'll be interesting to see how they go
Ido like to see how they do the all star parellels prices, if they go down the route of the run & gun ones, they'll drop down to $40 at least
It had been at 9 commons every set except last year not including checklists.Down to 9 commons.
In years to come they'll be the chase cards.
No Vunivulu, Johnston...leading try scorers.
No i Friend.
Glad I don't chase mojos. Nuffies left right n centre
For me this is a set because im a Commons completist but view it with very little enthusiasm.

Personally 9 is a good number, fits nicely in a page. Not a fan of the checklist
BA is a smart manGood concept and for a low end card it looks great.
I think these would have been better suited in ascending position order (1/6/7/9) as opposed to alphabetical.
BA is a smart man
Start the season with our spine in alphabetical order, French, Gutherson, Norman and Pritchard to suit the collectors
