Thanks for the PM Michael. Looks like I'll be playing in Yahoo with a few mates in a few different leagues. Probably don't have the time to play in that one, but thanks heaps for passing on the info.

In other news I finally got a game tonight. Beat Arzbar 107-90 in OCT S3, pushing my record to 10-4 overall.

I hadn't played a game since the 22nd of July so nearly a month, and was very rusty.

Very slow start for both of us, but I broke it open in the 2nd and 3rd with some good shooting and point guard play. Chase Budinger in particular caught fire, hitting 4/6 three's and finishing with 22 points on 9/13 shooting overall.

Hey guys just played bermo_7 (twolves) Good game for me as I finally broke my drought (bout bloody time too), but gameplay was less than satisfactory.
I have a feeling that either -
1 he's new to the game and doesn't know many moves or
2 he's just a kid and doesn't know any better - maybe both.
He shot 79% PIP and used the baseline drive to layup/close jumper exclusively. Not saying I want a reset, but just a heads up.
Also pm'd him after the game just letting him know

Hey guys last night i played bermo_7 (twolves).

was giving him a flogging in the 1st quart and he after missing his 10 straight shot decided to quit, do i keep the win for this or what?

its hard getting a game these days cant wait 2k11

You will get to keep the win. He had just played a whole game against Jonny, so looks like it was a deliberate drop out.

In addition, if he didn't even try to explain what happened - that shows a lack of care and further affirms that he just didn't want to continue.

This guy has just joined, barely plays games, and then quits when he's losing. I think he should get the boot.

To be fair he did request that he be removed from the league after he had played just 1 game. Said he had major connection issues in both leagues he was in and wont be upgrading broadband until later in the year closer to when 2K11 comes out. I didn't get around to removing him yet as i didn't have a new owner ready to go and it looks like after a couple of weeks he has jumped on again last night and attempted to play again.

well ive got a player thats keen to play some games ffrom da1 league i was running he Pm'd me the other day asking for a spot. his user name on Psn is Xzistanz hes a Kiwi but he can play alright...lol

That's fair enough. I didn't know he requested to leave, so I guess that shows his heart isn't in it.

I played him anyway. He was as bad as advertised by Jonny, driving baseline for the entire game. I did actually score my points in the paint than him, but only because after the first quarter I quickly shut off the baseline. Josh Smith and Hasheem Thabeet combined for 11 blocks.

Smith was player of the game with 21 points, 12 boards, 2 assists and 6 blocks. Jonny Flynn was a beast with 26 points and 10 assists on 11/17 from the field.

I had 5 players score at least 16 points and finished the game with a 117-106 win.

I have tried playing Bermo maybe 4 times? All dropped out in the 1st quarter and was serious lag for the time the game was actually running even...

Oh, and I'm back from more trips so should be right to continue on in the leagues :D 8-3 I think I am? After a close run loss to Swish...which was good since he got me by 52 in the Aus NZ S2 league :lol:

Good to see you back Ben. I'm hoping things in this League can heat up a little! I saw the stats from your game with Giddles - tougher to stop than you expected? I have to say I hate his drive and kick, but he's a good player.

Played Swish following my first Aus n NZ S2 game and lost by 6. It was close, I got the lead a few times but couldn't hold on.

Swish has really good anticipation, and turnovers killed me again. I had 15 TO's to his 4. I don't know how to steal the ball like he does. Do you guys know how to do it? When you pass to a guy on the wing, and then his defender like puts up a hand and deflects the ball or something. Is it just the steal button and good anticipation, or is there a technique to it?

Anyway final score was 105-99. I went on the offensive a lot, but when his offense got stagnant he went to Tim Duncan, who I just couldn't stop.

I'm also struggling with Joe Johnson. He's more of a jump-shooter type player, which isn't my style. Consequently when I need a go-to guy I'm not really the best at utilizing JJ. If anyone wants to take him off my hands feel free (Ben/Michael is that Memphis trade going to go through or not?).

Nah mate it hasn't moved at all. I think Bulls-Bucks played a game, and so did the Hawks-Heat but we're still in the first round. Pretty crazy.

Some teams in Season 3 are nearing the half-way mark of their games and we're not even half-way through the playoffs.

Wow, that is pretty slow going...good for me though as my PS3 is still shot

Think we will have to now place a deadline for round 1 games. Perhaps this Sunday. I sent out a pm to teams that hadn't completed yet last week. Hawks-Heat tried to play a game but it lokks like there was a disconnect.

Deadlines will now need to come in due to 2K11 only being 7 weeks away and we need both seasons finished by then.

Yeah fair enough, I'll try and get my PS3 fixed in the next week or two I think...it lasts for 3 qtrs or so and then the blu ray just bombs out

Yeah Giddles was good. pretty much matched him in the 2nd half. To be honest I was a little burnt out with 2 games in a row prior to that game, so started forcing 3s a little more than I usually would (even by my standards!) but he had me all ends up on the other end of the court anyhow. Lots and lots of dribble moves...constantly...and nice drive and dish game, but not used as much as Zelmeister does in 1 of the leagues (think it's the Aus NZ S2). Speaking of Zel, he forfeited on me in that other league, me up 70-36 in the 3rd and 14/27 from downtown after being 0/6 from downtown at 1 point :lol: Got him this time in the OCT S3 league after he pipped me by a point the 1st time we met. Said that my shooting was "practically cheesing" after that game...however I don't run in circles, even less than I used to, so I'm not sure why? Fake, sidestep and shoot isn't cheesing IMO...? And then there's the walk the ball to the 3 point line and the opposition jumps cause they anticipate me shooting it (cause I do so much) so I'm left with an open shot. Is that my fault either? :lol: Ah well.

Hopefully get a game done tonight.

Sorry everyone for rejecting your game offers especially greengoblin, just havent been in the mood or already in a different game with other online players but ill try and get more games done.
