I've had four losses in Season 3 so far. Started off splitting the first two games I played 1-1 then went like 8-3 since then to my current 9-4 record.
All the games I've lost have been close though, except for my one against Verse where I was just out of it from the 1st quarter. In S2 I dropped a couple of games when I was leading and lost it in the 4th, against opponents I would usually beat. Happy to say that hasn't happened so far in this season.
Nenjabin, Verse, Giddles and Vivo are the four games I've dropped. All opponents who will contend for the championship, and bar the game against Verse the rest were decided late in the game.

Had a solid win last night against perryparsons. Not sure what his deal was but he was having a go at me all game saying i was "dogging it" what ever thats supposed to mean? I asked him how so and got the reply "You know"
Im guessing it had something to do with me having an argument with his buddy nzgamer the other day where i was accused of 3 point cheesing when Miller dropped a tonne on him haha.
It was pretty entertaining though he'd leave the key open and all i had to do was pass the ball the the man running to the basket for an easy 2 pts then i'd flick a few outside for the uncontested 3. Miller hit 11/18 from downtown mainly from fast breaks and Melo had his usual solid mid 20's game dropping a sick fadeaway from about 18ft out (Spewing he pulled the plug straight after the game so i couldn't upload it!)
It was good to get a win after having about 2 weeks off playing any 2k

I wouldn't worry about his chat, i had a friendly game with him and got the same thing. It's actually funny listening to someone on a headset complain about their own players when they miss easy shots and stuff
. Anyways, he seemed to get frustrated when he got behind and started complaining about everything. First that i was hitting my jumpshots, then scoring too much with one person, then PIP. He actually would pause the game and bring up the team stats which showed me at 40 PIP and would mumble about the 40 a few times, yet he had something like 44 PIP and the score was around 90-80. Think i might buy a headset this week so i can answer back in games

Got the same thing here. He was on at me all game in the other league about "play on ball" cause I got out to a quick 20-30 point lead. He ended up pegging it back and winning by 1, through simply solid play.
In S3 though he was leading the entire game til the last quarter when I switched up my D and went on a massive run. He was relatively quiet until I started winning and then yeah, it was "dude that is dog". What, can't handle the full court press when you were up by 9 in the last? I then went on nearly a 20-0 run to be up 11
so can understand his frustration, but it's not "dog".
Nzgamer the other day said I was worse to play than Swish and qualified it by saying my 3s were "BS". I simply gave him the tip that switching to a zone on a team that loves the 3 is probably the worse thing to do. That game I hit 8/11 for 3 with anyone not named Martin or Brooks, and 9/19 with those 2 All I had to do though was walk a guy to the 45 and pass to the corner though...so was relatively easy...

Haha nope, I've bloody got into Photoshop massively lately so been trying to design a few t-shirts n that so havnt even really thought about the PS3 and when I do it's at like 8pm when the store that I'm gonna ring is closed

That's pretty classic. I got NZGamer's head-set ramblings. I actually find it kind of annoying because the sound quality isn't clear and it keeps cutting in and out.
I smashed him though so no biggie.
All you guys playing different defenses is interesting, I normally only ever play a 2-3 zone against paint-crashers, or a man on man. Maybe I should try some full-court presses and traps and stuff.. Interesting...
I just assumed that they don't work because they aren't easy to break. I mean you can pretty much get dunks off them if you play them well.
But maybe they are effective, a few teams have used them against me and my fast-style pace, and that's amounted to me turning the ball over a lot. I just like playing up-tempo haha even when they stick on that press I just want to run all over the place!!
In fact even as I write this I realize that's happened in a few games. Man I need to calm down haha get the heart-rate slowed a bit

Yep, no reset. Swizz has done it several times before, quit when down late in the 3rd or early 4th. I actually already reset the Lakers-Rockets game earlier today when Swizz pm'd me explaining that he was led to believe the game was a custom game which was why both teams were heaving so many 3 pointers (both teams took 50+ 3's) I believed him and gave the reset but it looks like this time he can have the loss (or sim loss). I've been told by two seperate people that he has quit on them before when getting soundly beat and then gone and reset the games himself straight away (in another league that he has admin status for).

Jimbo, I don't change up my D too much, using pretty much the same as you. I mess around with the coaching sliders a bit for different teams and such, but since nothing was working against perryparsons that game I changed it up!
Never had nzgamer on his mic to me, only perryparsons.

Well that's just annoying. What kind of loser cares that much about the game that they re-set a quit from them, themselves!
In Zel's Da1nonly league that's how I got to be admin. Giddles did the same thing in that league, and I saw it and told Zel - who had already seen it and replaced him with me as the league's second admin.
I love the game because I'm a sucker for video games and of course the NBA - but who cares that much to do that!
It sucks as well because he's in OCT S2 Playoffs and has only played 2 games of his series!
And Ben - yeah I'm not sure I'd get a head-set like the others were saying. I'd probably just get distracted. Haha. I pretty much play in silence. Which can be a bad thing for when I get frustrated

Only when someone makes an awesome play (usually the other guy cause I'm not all that showy and my jump shooting game doesn't allow for those "ooooohhhhhhhh yeahhhhhh" plays ) do I make any noise and it's usually an agreement of how sick that was Though I did get Ben Wallace literally swatting a shot from the center of the key back out of bounds at the halfway line the other day! But 2k doesn't show replays of such things

Ouch! Just called up the PS3 repairs place and told them my PS3 problem and they reckon the BlueRay has cracked the sads and has gone and will cost $220 installed to replace it...whats the price of a new PS3 these days anyone know? Although mine is from launch day so bigger hard drive and that...any ideas?

I had mine repaired at the end of last year and it cost around the same.

Yeah but I really dont play any other games other than NBA2K and COD so yeah I dunno prob not worth it for me, gotta get it done soon though I reckon with the playoffs and that...really dont wanna spend the $220 though seems like a total waste of money

My bro got his done (last week) they said pay $250 and when he sent it off they said he didn't have to pay anything and when he received it someone was here to pick it up. So he ended up not having to pay.
And they didn't fix it they just sent him a new one.
