Praise Jesus! The Dwightmare is over.

Having a bench? Come on, you got the best Centre in the NBA, the best shooting guard in the NBA, top 3 point guard, and top 5 power toward in the NBA...If they don't break the Bulls 72-10 record, I'd be disappointed haha...

Nba is no longer fun to watch. There is far too much imbalance in the league. Is becoming more and more like soccer. There is not much competition left...
I agree only a handful of teams have a shot before the season has even begun.

Lakers got better yes BUT they still need a bench

Current Bench

Chris Duhon G AVG 3.8
Earl Clark F AVG2.7
Jamison F AVG 17.2
Murphy F/C AVG 3.2
morris G AVG 2.4
Ebanks F AVG 4.0
Hill C AVG 5.0

I think they said the same about Miami, look how crap they are without a bench;)

At the end of the day, yes you do need guys to contribute off the bench. But, just like the Heat, you only need one guy per night to do it. A different guy stepped up every night for Miami.

The same could easily happen with Lakers. If L.A sub out say Kobe and Dwight. They still have Nash and Pau on the court, add in Jamison, Hill and another guy and that's still plenty to work with.

I think they really just need a nice spot up shooter and defender. I have'nt seen much of Meeks so can't comment on him. Lakers will be shopping still no doubt.

Gonna be tough to beat.

Yeah I know it sucks, the NFL and NRL have a much more even playing field for two reasons: The focus is on building through the draft/U-20s and their salary caps are a lot stricter.

Best SG? Top 3 PG!? Think that's a bit of a stretch mate ;)

The Lakers now have the most loaded starting 5 i have seen in the NBA..

You got an amazing back court with Nash and Kobe (possibly the best in the league) an all NBA defender with great size and versatility, and THE best front court with Dwight and Pau (the most dominate big and the best post up PF)

Add Jamison,Meeks,Hill of the bench and you one scary fkn team.

IF they gell the way they should i cant see anybody coming close to challenging them for the title.

Name one SG who is better than Kobe right now? :) Okay, let's forget about the intangibles and the clutch play or mental toughness and yes we all know he's a ball hog, there's still not even one SG who statistically is better than Kobe.

Who you gonna take over Nash? There's Rondo, Deron and Chris Paul...okay top 4! I can't name anyone else who would be more highly regarded as a point guard besides those players.

I was more pointing out the Top 3 PG part, as for the SG, some would put Wade there, some would put Kobe. Although Wade does have a PER almost 4.5 higher than Kobe ;) But they are close, so fair enough that you could say Kobe is best.

As for Nash - great TRUE point guard; but if we're looking at guys that are actually playing the position in the NBA, then there are many who are currently better. Rondo, Dwill, CP3, Rose, Westbrook & Parker.

*cough* Derrick Rose & Russell Westbrook.

True about Rose, arguable about Westbrook and Parker... :p especially Westbrook lol.

I give you Top 7 at very worst for all around PG; but arguably even the best PG in terms of being a true point guard fitting the John Stockton mould. It's hard to argue the case against the top assist per game leader for 6 out of the past 8 seasons (other two seasons finishing 2nd and 3rd).

Typical person that doesn't see WB's true value. ;) As for Parker, I would have been there with you, but last season he carried the Spurs, and watching him in the series against OKC you could see how good he is.

Time to ramp it up again.

Will Dwight bolt and take less money?

I can see it now, Lakers amnesty Pau and re-sign Dwight AND they get Chris Paul after the Clips get slaughtered in the playoffs!!!

I think Dwight needs to go to a team with a great pg to succeed, he just doesn't have the moves to post up and go 1 on 1.

I'd like to see him go to Cleveland but it aint gonna happen.
