Praise Jesus! The Dwightmare is over.

Mitch Kupchak...NBA executive of the year in a landslide. How do you land Dwight AND Nash without dismantling the entire roster and keeping Gasol? Now that is a feat.
SG- Kobe Bryant
PG- Steve Nash
PF- Pau Gasol
C - Dwight Howard
I didn't realise the All Star game was a season long event? That is an insane lineup of epic proportions. The Lakers were already looking to be a strong contender with Bynum in there instead of Howard, but they look like they've leapforgged over everybody in this off season, did a 720 degree jack knife double pump reverse in between the legs dunk on the rest of the NBA.

Yeah it'd probably help the league if they had a parity model in place like the NFL, which is run 100 times more efficiently.

what do you think of the package Orlando are getting back? i hope those draft picks pan out other wise there where much better deals on the table. suprised Magic didnt try to move hedo as well.

Well not sure which year their from but their protected picks so they won't be early lottery. Think they need to jettison Jameer Nelson as well.

didnt jameer only just sign on for another year? i cant remember if it was a player or team option or what the deal was.

I personally hate how teams are allowed to be built like this, there is just no salary cap restriction that any of the owners care about.
Teams like the Spurs and Thunder I respect because they BUILT their team's they didn't BUY them.
And the draft is just a total crapshoot, nobody seems to get a look in as a rookie passed the first 10 or so players.

There is a salary cap restriction. Its just that some owners can afford to pay the luxury tax.

All right I stand corrected, but it lends credence to my have's and have not's problem with the NBA, big markets prosper while the small remain mired in mediocrity.
