Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

Good to see some of the lesser teams dealing well in this period but what about teams like the C's, Thunder, LA? Have the Celrics and Lakers already canned next season is waiting for the 14 free agency? Clips, Warriors and a couple of other teams have really pushed ahead even from their good showings last season. U watch LA sign Anderson just to add another basket case to the LA show. Anyone know why LA let Clark go?

Anderson ? Do you mean Andersen ?

No idea. Clark was one of the Lakers better players last season.

This is awesome!

Will be someone else's fault Dwight got dunked on!!!!

Brandon Knight is not a true PG, they will sorely miss Calderon, unless they plan to play Bynum as a starter?
Smith is not a SF. They will struggle with all 3 bigs in the floor at once IMO

This is the team that a few years back signed Ben Gordon to a big contract whilst they still had Rip Hamilton and they also added Maggette as well I think. Plus the same year they signed Charlie V to a big contract LOL....... position doesn't seem to matter to them

Dwight Howard made the decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers for the Houston Rockets after much debate surrounding where the all-star big man would end up. Eventually Dwight chose the Rockets, citing the team's young core that is headlined by James Harden. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Howard was told Harden carried some of the same traits as Kobe Bryant.

"In presentations and private conversations to Howard, Harden had been sold as a bad teammate and selfish player, multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports.

He was told [Harden] would be another Kobe in his life," one source closely involved in the free-agent process told Yahoo! Sports. "It came from a lot of people, but never once from Dwight's mouth."

In the end these rumors didn't affect Howard's decision, but the chemstry between Harden and Howard will go a long way in dictating how well the Rockets will do next season.

Are the pistons going to have the best defensive lineup in the league? Knight, j-smoove, Drummond and Monroe?

They would want to hope so, because with the team they are putting out there at the moment, they will struggle to hit 80 points. Josh Smith is a terrible fit with this team, and I love Smith, but he is best played as a PF, NOT as a SF, as this makes him more of an outside player, which is not playing to his strengths, and especially with Monroe AND Drummond on the floor Smith is not a good floor-spacer due to his average jump shot.

Both of them were developing well; I know Iggy is a good defensive player, but I find it stupid they're now going to stump the development of one of their young players because of this.

Dont worry too much. Given Iggy's excellent all-round ability there is plenty of playing time to go around, as I see Iggy playing a bit of PG while Curry is on the bench, so there will still be around 30 minutes (or at least high 20's) at SF for Barnes each game.
