No, the All-Star guard wasn’t making his season debut after being sidelined while recovering from knee surgery. But Rondo was active, as coach Brad Stevens said he wanted to get Rondo “into that rhythm of pregame activity.” Rondo also practiced with the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics’ Development League affiliate, Wednesday in Waltham, and Stevens said the workout, which was considered Rondo’s final physical hurdle before returning to action, “accomplished what we wanted to accomplish.” Boston Globe - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.TkRjkWco.dpuf

The surgeon who operated on Nerlens Noel's left knee says the 76ers rookie should be ready to play in a game in four to six weeks. The Sixers say Noel's return isn't that simple, and it will be on their terms. Orthopedic surgeon James Andrews told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Noel was "doing excellent, and that team is taking good care of him." A source close to the situation added that "his knee is fine. He just needs to get in basketball shape." Philadelphia Inquirer - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.TkRjkWco.dpuf
