The Chicago Bulls have reached an agreement in principle to send former first-round draft pick Marquis Teague to the Brooklyn Nets for Toko Shengelia, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The Nets also reached an agreement to send guard Tyshawn Taylor and cash to the New Orleans Pelicans for a conditional future draft pick, sources said. I guess they could move Tyreke or Gordon for something else that might help them more at the price.

The New Orleans Pelicans say centre Jason Smith is out indefinitely with a right knee injury. The club says an MRI has revealed cartilage damage in the knee. The 7-foot Smith has played in 31 games and has started 27 times. He's averaging 9.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1 block in 26.8 minutes per game. The injury is only the latest setback for the Pelicans, who'd lost seven straight entering Saturday night's home game against Golden State.
