Official 2012-13 Offseason thread - trades, rumours, etc

man i love love to see camby go on and win the big gold shinny thing (thats what my 8 year old said to me) as me and my boy both love the camby man

Yeah and that's all good in why he's leaving Boston. I've said before he does'nt get used often enough with Rondo coming on as the offensive player he is now (sometimes Rondo also takes too many shots when he should be passing IMO).

Ray deserves to get more looks.

I'm just disappointed he's gone to the team that they've had a huge rivalry with.

I guess you could say the same with Nash and I'm sure there are people out there saying that.

To me personally, I've just lost a little respect in him going to the Heat.

He should be at Boston, loading up with those guys trying to beat the Heat IMO.
have to agree except Ray has reached the top where as Nash is 1 of a hand ful of player never to get there that really deserve it. Either way is will help Miami no matter how they use him. So the strong get stronger!

Can't see Dwight going to LA, even so how long before he plays again. Will his back ever be the same? Metta is a hack, Gasol is too soft and Kobe's ego will crush Nash, nuff said!!
spoken like a true Heat fan  Agreed that Metta is past it and i would love an upgrade at SF. Gasol is soft but if he was teamed up with Dwight he would be that soft finesse kind player and Kobe and Nash get on well and i can see them working well together how ever i think the bigs will benefit the most for the Nash addition.

Agree 100% that the bigs will benefit from the addition of Nash, but Kobe is a ball hog and will still be throwing up 30 shots a game which will negate Nash's influence.

Nash is a pass first and team first guy, he's gonna love kicking the ball to Kobe, Pau, Dwight:)

He's been playing with scrubs for years and made them better and gotten them career contracts, he will be amazing at L.A.

Pau is still one of the best big men and showed he has class with the way he's dealt with the trade rumours, If they get Dwight which it looks like they will because Bynum will most likely snap up that guaranteed money, then the Lakers will make the Finals. I have no doubts there. That is one hellavu team.

1 think that worries me is if we do a sign n trade with Bynum but Dwight might only stay for 1 year. Hope the Lakers dont take that risk, would much rather see s sign n trade from both sides.

I understand Nash is a pass first team guy, but is Kobe? Will Nash have enough touches to influence the game....not with Kobe on the team! Don't get me wrong I like the Lakers but Kobe is too selfish to make it work IMO.

You're right but I think they need Dwight. Even at 1 year. He'll most likely enjoy his time there and possibly resign anyway. Plus with him being such a knob it won't be noticed as much in L.A as Orlando:thumbsup:

If the Lakers want to win, I reckon they should pull the trigger.

I know when you have the no.2 big there's not a huge difference in grabbing the no.1 big, but Dwights D and athleticism is just so much better than Bynums.

You're right though, Lakers should still go hard for Dwight to sign on. Maybe they could give him some out clauses to help him finally get the balls to make a grown up decision in life.

sorry Ang disagree with you on kobe, yeah he takes a lot of shots, and most he has to creat himself!!! gasol and bynum go missing at times in games and kobe really is left to do a lot!!! kobe has never played with an elite point guard, so with nash there and hopefully healthy, it adds a different dimension to the lakers, i think you will find it will lower kobes fg attempts a game...it will open up the floor more and gasol and bynum or howard will benefit, kobe will still get his points and wont have to continually create his own shot, if the lakers get howard and is healthy, and only give up bynum, well the lakers will be up there, especially if they upgrade their bench, re sign jordan hill, he is head case, but played well for them late in the season, couple of decent shooters off the bench and a well behaved matt barnes and maybe the lakers could challenge the thunder!!!

See your point Ang, kobe does have that "take it over" mentality, which i am sure will probably continue, but i think it will work, there both veterans and both want to win, so lets hope they will be on the same page...

man miami will have a serious 3pt arsenal now... chalmers, ray, battier, miller, jones, bron/wade/bosh have all shown they can hit too, possibly rashard - easily the best in the biz

sure gonna be hard to stop, theyre not all gonna have off nights and when theyre on, like in the nba finals - look out... damn it!

Mavs have some comp for sessions!

If the Dallas Mavericks have plans on agreeing to a contract with unrestricted free agent point guard Ramon Sessions, they might need to move a little faster. According to a source, the Mavs had more discussions with Sessions' representative today about the mercurial playmaker joining their organization. The source also said the Houston Rockets have some strong interest in Sessions and spoke with his representative today. "All I can tell you is that Houston is interested in Ramon,'' the source said. Ray Allen's Memorable Celtics Moments: Video

June 17 2008 - 7 Treys - 26 pts - Finals clinching game against the Lakers
April 30 2009 - 51 pts against the Bulls (Triple OT loss)
June 06 2010 - 8 Treys (NBA Finals Record) against the Lakers
February 10 2011 - Passing Reggie Miller as the NBA Career Leaders in treys made.

And some writer in ESPN Boston is calling him a traitor. And even worse, "Jesus is now Judas ... again."

:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

I agree, Jarret Jack is a scrub and would love if the Heat knew who he even was.

I'm still surprised Ray went to Miami. Apparently with this boy having diabetes and Boston having one of the best centres for it in Boston quite a few are surprised he's gone.

Must be pretty serious between Rondo and Ray. I think Rondo could average 20 assists if he stuck to only 6 or so shots per game. That's how good he is at finding the man and how good Bostons offense runs.

Like I said, others could say the same as Nash as traitor. It's weird, I'm happy for Nash, but a bit disappointed in Ray:crazy:

Any good FA's left???

Mayo???
