yeah, just looked at their roster. They've got 2 old players signed up for 3 years in carter and marion.
Marion looked to be the only one with any sort of value, but why would a team take him. They do also have about 10 million in trade exceptions
Jeremy Linhas verbally agreed to sign a four-year offer sheet withHouston Rocketson July 11, according to a source close to the talks.
The four-year deal would be worth an estimated $30-plus million.
From the clip-and-save department comes this from Dirk Nowitzki.
After a few weeks to absorb the first playoff sweep of his career, Dirk was asked how he would view the Dallas Mavericks' free-agent pursuit of Deron Williams, considering the price of doing so was not re-signing Tyson Chandler from the 2011 title team, if it came up empty.
The question was posed to him during a May appearance on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM's "Galloway & Co.," and, as usual, Dirk answered it openly and honestly.
"It’s kind of tough," he said. "I’m like the grandfather of Dallas sports right now."
He was asked if he could ever see a time when he would request a trade if the pieces didn't come together as planned. Nowitzki, with two years left on his deal, and Kobe Bryantare the only players in the NBA with no-trade clauses in their contracts.
"I’m not sure," Nowitzki, 34, said. "I’ve always said I want to finish my career here and obviously the championship season topped it all off; that’s what I always was chasing and dreaming about so that kind of sealed that deal on that front. If we really come out with nobody this summer then maybe they want to rebuild and, obviously, I’m too old for that. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens on that front. But I still think I got two, three good years left in me and if we get some players in here we can be right back up there and compete."
geez if that happened, havingI still think if the Lakers could get Dwight for Bynum and trade Dirk for Pau they would not need much else after that.
Now that is a team. Sheesh, would'nt be good for the Spurs but I would like to see Miami vs Lakers in the finals.
Ha ha.
geez if that happened, having
Dwight
Dirk
Metta
Kobe
Nash
who would challenge? I think that would even be to much for Miami.

KAAAHHHHHHHNNNNNN!!!!!!! RT@AlexKennedyNBA Brandon Roy has agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with Minnesota, according to sources.
John Hollinger â€@johnhollinger
If this dollar figure is true, Minny either has to amnesty Darko and renounce Tolliver, or offer Batum much less $.

I'm guessing -- guessing -- that Sota told Batum they wouldn't give him offer unless they knew Blazers wouldn't match. Ergo, recent tactics.
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Trail Blazers have met with restricted free-agent Nicolas Batum and told him they'd like to keep him in Portland.
A Blazers spokesman confirmed the meeting and reiterated the team intends to match any offer that the French forward might attract. Portland earlier extended Batum a qualifying offer.
