Miami played crap intermittently, launching 3 pointer after 3 pointer, not running their offense and they still won! That's just not going to do it in the playoffs moving forward. You give any other team that many chances to get back in the game, and you're toast but fortunately as bad as Miami was for stretches, Boston was worse.
Don't understand this...
33.8 - OKC Full Timeout (107-117 SA)
11.3 - SA Full Timeout (111-120 SA)
11.3 - SA - Tim Duncan enters the game for James Anderson
0.0 End of game.
Why the timeouts when the game's decided, and why bring TD, and risk a possible injury?
Who's watching the game that can explain it for me (good ol' ESPN Gamecast not very descriptive sometimes).
Timeout to advance ball to half court and run an inbound play. Turned out OKC didn't want to foul anymore so they let the clock run out. OKC is one of those teams that are so quick that even a 3-4 possession ballgame is nothing for them to outscore you in a matter of a minute or two, just ask the Lakers. Huge win by Spurs, OKC is an extremely good team in transition but their half court offense relies on their talent to score and make shots.

It is a tactic that Pop used years ago! It is extremely effective for 2 reasons:
1) It allows you to make baskets and reduce the risk of an equalizer by putting the worst FT shooter on the line
2) It majorly disrupts the flow of the game. As shown today... It works! The Spurs were 100% in control before that period and then OKC took the momentum away from them.
Also, Spurs fans are the last people allowed to say that the tactic is not 'fair' or is 'dirty'. Pop patented it! lol
Actually it's been done for many years with the 'hack-a-shaq' being the most well known phrase for such tactics. In case your wondering why not continue to do an off the ball foul in the 4th like they were doing in the 3rd, it's because the rules have been changed to award the ball back to the offensive team if under 2 minutes to play in the game.
This one is for all those that say san antonio are boring to watch, steve nash is better than tony parker, suck my big fat one!!!!!!! Also, kevin durant is an absolute freak of nature... that is all
Really like the way okc play, they will get their championship. Unfortunately they have run into one of the most fluent offensive units to ever play basketball.
