Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

Yeah the Spurs game was great today with both teams a touch rusty but got out of it quickly. The refs did let some of the soft stuff go which was great. Westbrook was pushed off his key spots and when he was'nt he nailed the shot. Spurs did an excellent job overall on him and Harden as they nailed 3 x 3's in the last minutes when the game was over to help their stats a little.

Still, the Spurs needed todays game more than OKC. Imagine if OKC had've stopped that winning streak first game. I'd call season over.

Not reading too much in to it yet, good start for the Spurs. That's all.

Gonna be a very good series.

Spurs NEED to take both the home games, they are half way there..... If they dont, I still think we'll see 6 or 7 games but could well swing OKC's way very quickly!

Man...... I'm shattered we couldn't pull this off after being up 9 at the end of the 3rd. Played a great 3rd quarter and then forgot how to play in the third; think our small lineup killed us. Should of went with Perk and Ibaka inside.

Man that was the quote of the day lmao...... man that still gets me chuckling!

Mate.... surely you HAVE to look at it positively.

The Spurs NEEDED this win, OKC just wanted it! I don't think they were expected to win the first Spurs home game. They only need to win ONE at SAS and win all at home!

They managed to absolutely rattle the Spurs in the first half! Something which I have not seen since the game Bynum out rebounded the whole Spurs team (nearly). Even the, OKC did it and had the 9 point lead without KD and WB really getting going properly. KD still got himself some points sure, but missed a lot more than normal, which possible saved us!

The only fear I have for OKC.... the Spurs played (imo) their absolute worst of the season in that first half, and a portion of the 3rd.... yet the Thunder couldn't put them away! I doubt they will get that sort of opportunity from us again, so the away win they need is going to be much tougher from here.

Without Bosh, the title has to stay in the West.
Boston might beat a Miami without him, maybe, but wont touch either of those two western teams.
