And Robbie O'Davis, Adam MacDougall, Wayne Richards, Steve Crowe, Danny Wicks, Chris Houston, Rodney Howe after he left the club, Ben Kennedy and Mitchell Sargent before they got to the club ... quite a list haha.
Hmmm BK was at Canberra when his alleged drug scandal came out....am I noticing a trend here!!
From memory I think he and Brandon Costin / Pearson where alleged to have had a couple of pingers on a night out. BK always denied this and left the Raiders at the end of the season while I think Pearson admitted to taking a 'tablet'. Daley was club captain at the time and he blew the whistle after hearing the rumours and I think BK had the shits with him big time.
And Robbie O'Davis, Adam MacDougall, Wayne Richards, Steve Crowe, Danny Wicks, Chris Houston, Rodney Howe after he left the club, Ben Kennedy and Mitchell Sargent before they got to the club ... quite a list haha.
From the way I read it, Wicks took the fall when he could easily have blabbed, which seemed to save Houston's career (and possibly others).
So I have to hand it to him, I guess. Not that I particularly love having the likes of Houston at the club. And he hasn't been the same since his year off, either.
Wicks is still in jail anyway, so I hope Houston buys him a few schooners when he gets out!
AN NRL game held in Sydney is understood to have been identified by the Australian Crime Commission's probe into sport as an instance of suspected match fixing.
It is believed NSW Police have been told about the suspect game, which was referred to last Thursday by Federal Justice Minister Jason Clare, who said authorities were investigating a potential case of match fixing with links with organised crime and doping in Australian professional sport.
Fairfax Media has learnt the ACC's gaze fell specifically on a rugby league game in Sydney and it is believed it is now the subject of further investigation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't peptides almost impossible to detect with the current testing system.
Instead of saying their players haven't tested positive (red herring) perhaps they should be saying they aren't users if everything is above board.
This is most likely just going to end up with a couple of lower grade or lesser known players being found guilty of something and the NRL's reputation being damaged by unnecessary accusations. What a stupid way to do it. Publicly accuse clubs across different sports and then start investigating them in the public eye...how about first you get some positive tests or real proof and then go public with it. The NRL has enough scandals to deal with usually without this shit.
