Slater pulled out and did well to avoid any knee contact at all. Perrett copped knees last week from Burgess which is maybe why he had a dirty look on his face and why Inu decided to shove Slater....but at the end of the day Slater did nothing wrong during the process of the try being scored.

Inu thinks he is Mr Macho since he joined the dogs

The look on slaters face before the 'push' showed he realised the tackle might have been wrong...... These things happen in a matter of seconds... And given the time... He did really well not to hurt old mate as he went in for the try......... Saying he was wrong to even try and stop him is stupid.... Isn't that his job??

The 'push' totally uncalled for!!! I'm not a violent person - and I would have gotten up and punched Inu myself......

The around the neck from graham probably a little higher than acceptable if you're trying to 'eliminate' a fight..

The bite??? Give him a season for a disgustingly low act..... No one will bite ever again......... Slater no matter how he reacted did NOT deserve to be bitten!! Mouthguard or no mouthguard!!!! There was blood!! Animal!!!

I Took a few screen shots and in it you can see Perrett was looking in the other direction so he must of assumed slater lead with the knee's after what happened with Sam Burgess the week before. I thought slater did a great job of not making contact with the knee's so he must be mindful of it.
James graham with one second of stupidity has put a blight on an outstanding year of football.
I think he will be remembered more for that bite than any other achievement he will do on the football field in the future and that will be a great shame.

well he is a british bulldog lol. I can see the funny side and i get see the serious side of it. Also was'nt another canterbury player done for biting a couple of years ago and he got a few months on the sideline.

Trent Merrin - 8 weeks.

This is a GF and an international player. He should get 24 weeks :-) and never be permitted for consideration for Immortal status (which I hope doesn't upset anyone).

There was absolutely nothing wrong with Slater's approach at all, he did not slide in with his knees...he did really well to throw his legs away from Perrett once it was clear he couldn't stop the try. If it was an illegal attempt it would have been a "Possible 8 point try"
Slater may not have lead with the knees and I concur that he is NOT a dirty player BUT I think the knees made first contact.
Contact with the head, intentional or not is exactly that, why should first contact with the knees be any different?

It's not his go... Slater
He's not that type of player...Inu
He's a good bloke...Graham

Storm in a tea-cup.

I had to laugh though. John Hopoate on the radio saying it was 'the worst thing, the most disgusting thing he'd ever seen on a footy field.'

Inconclusive. Got anything clearer?

We need a video ref to adjudicate. Harrigan was saying the refs got it wrong and should have been a penalty try and that Slater should have been the one on report, or at least sin binned for shoving his jugular vein in to James Graham's gob.

If it had been Josh Reynolds with the ball, he would have been declared dead on the sideline by the ambos, been awarded the penalty try posthmously and then jumped up and danced about ready to accept his best actress Oscar.

Talking of Josh Reynolds, has anyone seen him? I didn't see him all day.
