not all players wear mouthgaurds i dont know if james Graham does in the story above it actually says Replays on the big screen at ANZ Stadium showed Graham baring his teeth and moving in towards Slater's left ear. Who knows im all for some biff and a brawl but lets not chew on anyones parts . Its a shame for graham because he really is a good player as he has shown us this year with his great work all season and cause of this it will be all forgotten and his season will be remembered by his one stupid moment
i was thinking about the mouthgaurd thing when i was mowing the lawn just before and when i wore a mouthguard and most people i know its only the top teeth where the guard is worn so u can still bite on something with your bottom fangs. I thought what was funny was when sterlo says ray price got accussed of biting but he had no teeth lmao
He probably should get a few weeks for it, I voted 1-4 weeks, probably 3 to 4. But in my opinion Slater contributed to the whole thing several time: First by sliding in, when the most likely result to his actions are Perrett gets hurt and still scores; and secondly, instead of just taking the push from Inu, he had to burr up and start pushing back. Slater has form sliding in with knees prominent, if not leading. If he wants to continue that, he should be prepared for some blow-back. I personally was happy with him just getting sat on his arse which happened initially, and that be the end of it. But both teams kept going with it, so what happens, happens. But if he really wants to stop those tries being scored, he should try getting in better position to do it without tempting fate. And if he can't do that, just stay on your feet and make the kick as close to the side-line as possible. As I said earlier, he can continue the way he's going, but don't get offended when you get a bit of blow-back...
There was absolutely nothing wrong with Slater's approach at all, he did not slide in with his knees...he did really well to throw his legs away from Perrett once it was clear he couldn't stop the try. If it was an illegal attempt it would have been a "Possible 8 point try"
On a weekend where AFL got top marks for their GF a Lunatic Pommy Ranga has set the image of Rugby League back 30 years, it's bad enough that Willie Carne doesn't want his kids to play League and unfortunately gets publicity over what should be a private decision so what will all the Mums out their who aren't sure about our game being safe think!.
Hang on saying that Inu causes this he went to go in with the legs on a tackle illegal and tried to pull out so slater started it and stagg tried to get hold of slater and pull him out of it and slater reacted to that can annyone on here remember Stagg getting in a fight or causing trouble i cant so if Graham goes so should slater whats good for one is good for another going in with the feet and tried to pull out a possible 8 point try.
Storm player grabing Grahams hair and pulling his head down.
The storm were the better team they won the grand final 3 weeks for Graham is a fair enough call slater has arecord of using his feet one goes both go.
i voted 5-8 weeks and also get fined his share of any grand final appearance money to charity.
Also Slater should be commended for his split second decision in trying to jump over Sam Perrett.
Not a fan of either team it was a dog act but slater is a cat leads in with his knees this is league not the UFC when you can drop the ball get a player in Side Control and reign down elbows when they are grappling I will agree with that crap stamp it out of the game
Slater pulled out and did well to avoid any knee contact at all. Perrett copped knees last week from Burgess which is maybe why he had a dirty look on his face and why Inu decided to shove Slater....but at the end of the day Slater did nothing wrong during the process of the try being scored.
Slater has NO blame in this. The push and shove was ok.
But a BITE!!! I am teaching my ONE YEAR OLD not to bite.
He should get 12 weeks. It is disgusting behaviour from a first grade, international player. Shame, shame. Problem is, now the dogs will cop crap for this forever and a day.
