K rant

He does leave Lebron behind, but only in the 4th quarter. In the other 3 I would take Lebron over Durant.

(No bias though, both are 2 of my favorite players :P)

As an OKC fan, I would still agree with that. But after this finals run, I might have to change my opinion and go with Durant. You say he's like Carmelo but I've never seen Durant give up on defense. He gives both offense and defense his 100% and if he can excel in this series right now, it'll show he has as good as, if not better, mentality as LeBron.
Why you no read my post Bainbridge? I said he is alot like Melo on offense, while he puts in effort on D he's not up to the levels of the premier defenders in the league thats all. To me D is as important as attack and the reason Durant is not the best player in the league.
Don't get me wrong, he is a sensational player but lacks the all around game of the best.

Quick to forget that he destroyed the spurs, swept the lakers while defending and stopping kobe, swept the reigning champs... Lebron has the potential but thats all it is at the minute, he HAS NOT delivered. I didnt catch all the second half of Game 1 but from what i saw lebron was not defending durant, if he is so versatile at both ends why keep hiding him??
Thats a question you'd need to ask SPO, same question i've been wondering too.

I did read your post Nickelberry but where would you rank KD in terms of defense? Above average, slightly above average, average?

Torching the Celtics in the last couple games was alright ;)

I would say a slightly above average defender with glimpses of being a good defender every now and then which will come in time.

My point being you're delusional thinking Durant is a better player then Lebron simply because of an exceptional 4th quarter shooting performance in game 1 the other day.

If i were building a team from scratch and had the choice of the 2 to build around it'd be Lebron first pick every time.

I know all this hype over Durant is a bit early but look at this way.

If the heat fail to win the finals again this year it will be 3 tries lebron has had at winning the big one and not being able to close out.

Now if things go the way of game 1 for the rest of the series you can pretty much attribute most of the OKC championship to Durant.

Would you still take Lebron over a guy who can close out and win you a ring as opposed to a guy who have been found wanting?

For me lebron is the best baller in the NBA, without a shadow of a doubt, but it takes more than talent to win you that ring.

At this point lebron just doesn't seem to have what Kobe, MJ, Bird, Magic etc all had.

I am happy to be proven wrong :D

Another good example of Stats being over rated, you don't know how many 4th quarters he sat because the game was a blow out.

That is exactly what I thought when I read that. It would be interesting to see how many 4th qtr minutes Jordan averaged. Surely someone can find that out...coz I cant be a$$ed.

Let me just say, if you swap out Lebron on any of those teams and replace him with Durant do those teams do any better? IMO they don't come close.

He can play every position on the court without many struggles, get back to me when Durant can play Centre or PG effectively throughout a series
Well if i was a defender id much rather be playing Lebron as a PG out the top with isolation plays. Much rather be defending him way out from the rim. As for playing C ,maybe against some of the tripe the east has to serve up but if you think he is playing centre agaoist bynum, duncan, howard you are dreaming!!

Lebron just doesn't have the killer instinct that KD has; not saying KD is better than Lebron, but he is becoming pretty close.

That was shut not s***

I kinda liked it as sh*t

Except the Bobcats because they will be a few years away from a ring and Lebron's hairline will be a rats tail by then! :p

Only ring the Bobcats are getting anywhere near are the ones on their behinds.

WOW has Kevin Durant Played a Hell of a Playoffs!

especially the last few Games!

The Only thing i think KD lack is in the Assist section but it doesn't matter as much when he can just keep knocking down shots
