That card has been selling constant for $100-120 since a week after release so it hasn't dropped in price at all!
If anything $120 is good money for that card for the seller.

One of the big problems is an overabundance of products, with too similar content.
Say a Magic Johnson auto /49 is in Absolute, and 75odd dollar box, and the autos that are flooded onto ebay post release
settle down to $175 (all pure hypothetical here bear with me!).
Then an Immaculate level product at say $400-450 comes out with a magic auto /49, people look at the market, often ignoring the
price of the unopened product as it is not relevant to them or their purchase of individual cards, and decide that the most theyre willing
to pay for one is $175.

With the Andrew Nicholson example, there are autos of him in about 20 Panini products, plenty of them unnumbered or numbered to much higher
print runs than 99 in Immaculate. These cards bring the 'perceived' market value down of the better autos of him purely because there are so so many out there...

You're pretty close…it started at $150 and is now down to less than $100….I pity those people that bought cases of Immaculate and stashed them away thinking they'd make a killing.

Yeah I picked one up for $115 2 weeks after release, so the prices have barely fallen imo, since most are still going for that range. They've remained stable at similar prices to other Kobe autos, which isnt suprising since theyre not really that special compared to everything else thats available.

Those people bought there cases for $1800-2000.. On release date. Cases are now at least $2800-3000us all that's after coming down! so those people could sell now for $1000 profit per case!! So dont pity them lol

One single freak case sold for 2100! Guy proberley didn't do his research! The next lowest was $2700. Also I joined a 36 hit draft iMac break which sold out in 2 days $3200 a case!

Once again, iMac release price was $1800 a case!! I'm still not getting how there in free fall mode?

My initial comment was about individual cards if you read it correctly…not sure how you turned it into cases???
Jeff, you were in a recent iMac case break (spots probably cost you around $1000), please check out what iMac cards you can buy for that sort of money and you'll understand what I'm taking about, or even check out the 4th post on this thread and see what I could've bought for $500.

Yea I've lose in some iMac (not really everyone's business) but I have also done well.. Eg $1600 kobe from a $200 snake! And of course you can make up a case of singles YOU find for a fraction of the case price! Anyone could do this with any product! But that's without the chance for a big hit like a logoman or a nice tag etc..

Buy boxes, cases and group breaks is a gamble.. If your not prepared to lose don't buy them!

Wow….Didn't mean to offend! Not sure what you "straightened" but if you're happy then keep busting my friend. Me, I'm seeing a dramatic fall in prices and keeping well away……just buying up some really nice and cheap PC cards.

I will definitley keep breaking these 2 products... all year!!
Mainly because its one of the best rc years ever!! And there will be way more value than any 13/14 products

What I was saying wasn't so much negative, it was more amazement at the rate of falling prices. I suppose it depends on interpretation. My advice would be to save a few $$$ for next year's rookie class….could be as good as the 03/04 class, just my opinion. Please keep enjoying busting though and good luck.

I haven't picked up a Jordan auto since early last year, did a search last week and was shocked at what an auto could be had for compared to what they'd been selling for at their peak. Not just the new stuff either, but Jordan in a Bulls or Wizards uni. There was a time you couldn't really touch a nice Jordan in a Bulls uni auto south of $800-1000k. Kobe's autos have never been more affordable either. As a Kobe collector - I'm loving it!! You can get a nice Kobe Prizm auto for a VERY reasonable price. If prices continue this way I might even pick up a few more Jordans too.

Who's up really? I don't collect Durant, but I'd bet his autos are selling really well?? I have one Durant Immaculate auto that I bought because I liked the card, but I haven't tracked sales or anything.

EDIT: As a Blake Griffin collector - I'll also add that his stuff is WAY down as well.
