Immaculate and Flawless prices in free fall mode.

I have noticed a lot less people are buying in hobby as a whole, so with less people in hobby and the people still in the hobby seem to have less money to spend, they spend more wisely!

Which inturn makes the normal hype cycles a whole lot quicker.

I believe the second release of Fleer Retro was the most obvious case of how people are spending way less, not falling for the hype and that particular cycle was the quickest I have seen...
Anyway you want to look at it….I wouldn't be touching a box or case of either Immaculate or Flawless….unless you want to burn some money real quick, but it's a great opportunity to pickup a PC card or two because the designs are quite nice and the prices are rock bottom.

Retro still had MJ 1/1 autos as a chaser, I have no idea what would make a 2014 edition of Flawless sell with as much hype.

And Immaculate isn't really worth looking into that much, other than two very cool auto sets (all-star and finalists), logomans and some jumbo patches, the "other" cards were rather terrible and understandably less valuable...

Panini got Immaculate right with the allstar autos and championship autos, the jumbo numbers, acetate patch autos, premium patches and logomen!

though the acetate jumbo jersey cards were crud, but could have been a huge hit if they were on jersey autos!!

The triple and quad jerseys also lacked inspiration.

Prices are a bit contradictive though! I've seen Doron Lamb and many other scrub premium patches at $50!!! WTH!!

You may be not far off the mark with the rights comment. Panini is trying to make their wad before UD get back into the NBA market.

There's also to few star players that sign for panini. No Melo, Rose, Westbrook, Garnett, Amare, Gasol, Duncan, Ginobili, Rondo, CP3, Rubio and probably some more im forgetting. The double rookie class also really hurts because it doesnt make it real desirable to collect a set.

But not having the best player in the game (Lebron) hurts the most.

I dont think the cards are underpriced, i think its mainly the products that are way overpriced.

I think immaculate compares best to ud premier which also had extremely low valued hits (acie law 4 comes to mind) and pretty much same configuration of hits. Last was 08-09 and even back then 5 years ago it was around $300-350 a box, but it was much more accepted because you could get lebron or jordan.
Value on the non stars from stuff like premier, ultimate, black etc is also pretty much bargain bin.

Agreed. UD had their fair share of "high-end" products, but they priced their products a little fairer and the design efforts speak for themselves. They were smart enough to only release 1 "top shelf" product (Exquisite) and a few higher end products (Ultimate, SPa, Premier & SP Game Used) that were more affordable.

Here's a case hit for half the cost of a box!!!!

Immaculate is definitely a bust….panini is just saturating the market with too many products….they're determined to ruin the hobby before the rights to the NBA come up for renewal.

Won't be holding my breath, the earliest we will see UD back in the game (if they don't go bust) is 2017-18 season. I would prefer UD over Panini.

"The NBA surprised the trading card industry in 2009 when it signed a virtual unknown brand in Panini while dropping two household names in Topps and Upper Deck. At the time, Panini had no U.S. offices nor staff. However, the deal has been successful enough that it’s been extended for another five years, through the 2016-17 NBA season."

Getting back into the NBA may be the only way UD get out of debt!

That is a real shame because the way Panini is price pointing their products and the number of releases, it really is damaging the hobby……..bit like the "peaches and cream"….a little is nice, but too much will make you sick.

All Panini is doing is increasing the value of UD stuff like Exquisite and Chronology. Less supply, more demand!

I think flawless base, patches, auto/patches will hold there value better.. Immaculate will likely come down more over the board.

These products have some of the best cards I've ever seen though... Logoman, premium sic patches, title winners, flawless base, dual autos being some of my favourites. Plenty more hits with the stacked dual rc year too!!

I don't think these two releases are any different to losing value to any other panini release, if anything they have shown far better returns in comparison.
Don't forget when first released these cases where far cheaper than they have been going for.

I really hope flawless do come down though there's plenty I want for my pc:)

Can't deny that there's some awesome looking cards in both products but I still believe that the rate of fall in prices has been faster than any product I've seen, and they haven't bottomed out! So there'll be some nice pickings to come….good luck with your PC purchases.

Main reason I have not bought a card in a long time. Panini just flooded the market, with to me, an average product.
Some of their newer stuff is better, now they seem to be doing away with the dreaded sticker auto.
I still miss the 90's inserts and the feel you got, pulling one out of a pack.

Just witnessed a KOBE BRYANT Immaculate auto card sell for less than $120…….crazy!!! How low can they go?
