if it gets awarded to Freo its a joke and the rules need to be rewritten coz the rule states the umpire MUST HEAR THE SIREN for the quarter to finish...

I try not to bag them, but can't help it. They deserve it for their inconsistancy over many years now, which is the only thing they are consistant at.
I have some good mates who are dockers fans(and members too)- they have got real upset many times over the years. LMAODeep down wouldn't mind seeing them do well.

If the umpires can hear the siren at the MCG with 90,000 plus people there and they can't hear it at Launceston with 8-10,000 people there, it may have been the conditions but you would have to think there was something wrong with the siren.
And as Chris Connolly said, the AFL is big business....the team is answerable to 35,000 paying members....wins and losses mean teams may miss out on the finals or prized prime-time games which may cost sponsorship dollars and so on. It certainly means a lot more than another 2 points.

The AFL cannot rightly give the result to Fremantle. The rules are quite clear. All the AFL can do is ensure Aurora Stadium installs a better damn siren.
What I find funny is that on the replay of the last game at AS in round one... Dermie said something like this would happen if this siren was not made louder.....

No matter what happens the AFL has to be very careful how they handle it. Sport is a big money business and no matter what happens people are going to be dissapointed. Imagine having $500K on freo to win and then that happening...you would be spewing.
