I thought Botham was way off the mark claiming Hughes was a cheat for claiming a catch that wasn't when Hughes barely claimed it... not to mention that he's got a bloody short memory considering Strauss did the exact same thing to Hughes in 09, apart from the coming clean thing.
I'm guessing Botham did not see Bell?
"Terrible," he said. "Cheating. How much do you want it to bounce into your hands? He knows he hasn't caught it."
Hard to see when you've only got one eye and its impaired by the Union Jack...
This is the direct Botham quote from Cricinfo article (Australia v England: Clarke defends Hughes over claimed catch | Cricket News | The Ashes 2010-11 | ESPN Cricinfo)
Just poor form from Botham IMO; how does he know what Hughes feels?
Spot on!
The SFA V IND test matches have been quality.
What happened with bell? If the evidence isn't conclusive I thought it went back to the original decision, like lbw's...
Yeah look at the third test, 2 runs difference after the 1st innings...
hahaha - you can't help but laugh at this stage.
Well hughes just got his revenge on old mate watson didn't he!!! That running was even worse than melbourne.
Very poor running and calling from the both of them - there was two there for sure imo, and even if not, hughes would do well to call loud rather than whispering from the other end of the pitch!!
I think Hughes has played his last test for Australia, Very poor Batting, His fielding isnt the best, and as has happened today his running is on the same track, DOWNHILL. Hope he enjoyed his time
I think he was looking good but as punter would tell you, he got a great ball.
Australia should put Marsh & Khawaja as openers, drop Watson down the order and send Hughes back to Grade cricket, not state cricket but Grade Cricket...
Walshy no offence mate but he gets out to alot of ordinary balls...
I thinks its funny when people say Marsh, What does he average? I think its somewhere in the mid 30's.
