I guess everyones thoughts will differ but if your trying to get a general consensus Id say my vote would be for anything in the 1/3 or 1/4 box range.

It's been obvious since they released the sell sheet!
It said the sigs were numbered, but not the Fast and Furious. I'm sure we discussed it earlier in this thread ...

Thanks to everyone who came down to Penrith today. It was great to meet a lot of you face to face. All of you would agree, it was one of the biggest collectables fairs seen in this country. To all of you who purchased an Origin Sensations card of Gallen or Smith, congratulations. I can now reveal that this card is a parallel version of the case cards in the soon to be released ESP Elite product. Two thirds sold at the show today. The balance is now listed on jajascollectables.com

100% agree with Girds. Lets not pretend that the only reason for pre-selling isn't to capture a majority of the market at the highest price. That's the only reason he does it. Anybody is free to do the same thing BUT it is a risk that the cards market value may be more than the asking price as the market value hasn't been set. Obviously this is what happened with the YG's earlier on. If you are going to take a risk to reap the benefits, then you have to be prepared to cop the losses as well. If you're not prepared to do that the don't pre-sell, it's that simple.
I agree with everything you say except for 'he aims to sell at the highest price.' I believe he tries to get in early to gain maximum volume of sales and beat the competition, but I think historically (25,000 sales) he is one of the more reasonably priced sellers out there. I agree that as a seller you accept the gains and losses, but with YGs, do we really expect the guy to run himself into the ground? I have no man crush or anything I just think it is fair to represent multiple angles. Anyway I think that we can agree to having differing opinions on the severity of his presale/YG's actions and I'll stop de-railing the thread.
Really, really looking forward to busting my boxes!!!
* Actually Choptza - how many YG's did you buy off him at $29 - the profit you would have made would have been in the $1000s surely

I don't buy league cards very often, as I just don't see there been much value In buying cases of it (I only buy cases). I have preordered 2 cases of this because it does look to have value. What I can't believe is this idea of not releasing a checklist. This is total b/s!! Ive been collecting cards for 20+ years now and find this to be a major joke!! Who is this seller (business name, so I don't buy from them), and why doesn't ESP threaten him, rather than punishing everyone else. This guy is setting prices for the whole hobby, which I find disgraceful. Prices for some of the big names should be going for $300-400, but because he's put everyone at around $175, no one is going to want to pay much more than that. It's a fkn disgrace!!

Maybe it will in the long run when cards become a bit more scarce, but everyone now has seen the major stars been sold for $175 before release. Are you going to want to pay twice as much as what someone else paid? I doubt it!! It's just wrong!! He's devaluing the hobby!! People are buying cases for a lot more than what he is paying for them, so how do we get our money back. Now i'm not into it for profit. I just want to keep my Sea Eagles and then maybe recoup some of my money back to buy other stuff. Going to be hard with ESP letting him do this.
People expecting to get the cars for those prices and for him to honour his low prices are stupid really, he was never going to when he realised how much they are worth. And you shouldn't expect to get them for those prices from reputable sellers. All you can do is leave negative feedback, get over it and move on and support some great sellers.
I would have thought that the market would set its own value once the cards were released? I failed Economics at school btw
I agree Daniel. Something as subjective as a footy card does not have any real value, it is a perceived value driven by the collector.
People can put whatever price they want on the cards but if they don't sell they are not worth that much.

I think he's got the value of the cards pretty spot on tbh. They're not going to go for as much as a Select /100 card, because there's four times as many in the set. I don't think there's enough collectors out there with the money to drive the prices that high.
But anyway, I wish he'd piss off, purely for ruining the rest of us getting the checklist.

I'm not a fan of double sides cards. For me who liked to get them signed if prefer a front and a back. I'm torn if I should try and save up and buy two each of the double Raiders card so I can get them signed and display in my folder both signatures face up if that makes any sense lol
This just in from ESP....
Due to a fuel spillage in Botany Bay late last week at the Patrick Shipping Terminal we have had a delay in the offloading process of ESP cargo. As a result there will be a slight delay in the delivery of NRL Elite to our distribution facility and therefore Ikon collectibles and to the wider market.
The product launch date has now been revised to Wednesday the 24th of July, pls note that some remote retail locations in NSW and QLD may start receiving stock as early as Tuesday the 23rd of July due to air freight scheduling.
Should there be any change to this date I will let you know.

Ok the delay is something beyond there control but to not release checklist well in advance of release dates is a bloody joke. Makes no sense at all. How do they expect people to be excited and willing to fork out there hard earned money without knowing who they are getting on the cards?? ESP is a joke and the people running it have no idea at all in serving there customers
