Definitely a dive - no argument there but the Villa defender left his leg out. I think it was clear penalty.

Young has got pretty hammered in the articles i have read this morning. Hopefully Fergie pulls his head in.
 
That was no foul. young beat him off the dribble then jumped like superman. I guess that Derry deserved the red after Young fell with no help at all. Hes a cheat nearly as bad as princess Ronaldo
 
Go back and watch the video - he left his leg out there. Im not disagreeing that Young dived but if you get beaten and leave your leg out there its going to be a penalty. My opinion.

At 4 nil it hardy cost Villa the game. They were terrible.
 
An incident like that can set the tone of a game. Bad enough when your team isnt in form and you have to play the in form team and to see the ref give away a penalty like that saps morale. I have watched the video dude. What i saw was Young about to beat his man but knew he was about to lose possession just watch where the ball is. He knew too well what to do and that was jump over his leg. Its a benefit of the doubt incident i have my opinion you have yours thats cool but he dived and got rewarded for it. Cheating should be a red card offense regardless of what team you play for. Im sick of it.... Youngs dive against QPR is a disgrace and shows what he is capable of.
 
I agree he diving is an issue however i still think i was a penalty. Look where the defenders leg is when he starts to dive. Your going to get penalised for that.

No its us talking about a high profile player cheating. Couldnt care less who he plays for. Im more interested in the championship thats why i never comment on this thread my team isnt in the top division YET :thumbsup:
 
he went down easy, but there was contact and it was a penalty. loads of players wouldve done the same thing. maybe not as dramatically, but its what theyre trained to do. for me its only a dive of theres no contact. he would never be carded for the way he went down vs villa, because he made sure he got contact from the defender. an attacker can look for contact. no rule against that. if he wants to go down instead of skipping past the player, thats his decision. a weak one in my opinion, but its how the game is played these days.
 
We need a favour from Everton to have a sniff of the title..then obviously win the derby...can't see Utd losing to any other opponent they have left...

/\/\ the invincibles should at least have made the short list tho?! from the list you gotta go the treble, but only two teams have gone unbeaten...
imitating a cow eating eating grass. classic. he got a 50k pound fine for that celebration.
 
Is Yeboahs volley shortlisted ive yet to look? Ill go check it out right no. It has to rate a mention i remember seeing that goal when i was in school and my reaction was OMG best goal ever scored. He hit that ball perfectly :)
