Rush,Fowler,Gerrard,Dalglish,Ince,McMannaman (not sure if spelling is right!! LOL) Kuyt,Carragher,Pepe Raina ( He's like a more skillful Barthez ) Tommy Smith,Michael Owen

Actually was at OT for the Fulham game and we looked scratchy all game, needless to say Wigan although barring this morning by actually beating us for once are a tough team regardless of their ladder position.
For the record @ ljandkg "U calling it now?? Funny - here's a United fan come outa the woodwork after saying nothing all year..."
I was born in Manchester 33 years ago - so I don't really need to prove myself!! LOL But for the record I have only ever been on here for basketball related stuff and only noticed this discussion last night!! I watched my team get our butt's handed to us in the 80's by the likes of LFC so, yeah it's nice to hope for a 20th, although we have a lot of work to do to keep the blue half of town at bay! Would like to see another medal around the old boys necks (Giggsy and Scholes)
Would love to still have had Silvestre in defence - Never a huge fan favourite but a hard worker, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still so sorely missed as that game saving goal poacher.....Ah the good old days!! Maybe we would be winning at least 2-0 instead of the last gasp 1-0 wins...again, barring this morning LOL

Welcome aboard - was referring to the fact you've shown up now writing 20 titles as your first post....hardly gonna endear u to the locals!

Balotelli to face United

/\/\ so whos crazier? im starting to think maybe mancini...

If u read the article he was meaning he'll be back, as in available, for the United game - he thought he'd get a 9 game ban so be out for the season. I'd like to see City run with the front 4 they had vs West Brom. Silva, Nasri, Tevez, Aguero were very impressive together...breathed new life into our goal tally. Hopefully they'll continue like that and leave Balotelli out as I feel he's stalled our goal scoring and creativity at times despite scoring regularly.

hmm hard to do an Arsenal all time team and include the real old champions of the past, but from who I've seen and who I've been shown:

Seaman
Cole
Adams
Bould
Dixon
Ljungberg
Brady
Vieira
Pires
Bergkamp
Henry

Jennings
O'Leary
Sol
Overmars
Petit
George
Wright

could of stacked that bench, Keown, Winterburn, Kanu, Cesc, Rocky, an RVP that hadn't been blighted by injury most of his career

and as Georgie Best couldn't make the Utd side, would happily find a spot for him here :goat:

If I could buy any player from Arsenal right now... Theo Walcott, I think he is very under rated. Can be hot and cold but I think the nuts and bolts of his game are there

/\/\ dont get me started on theo. cant pass, cant shoot, bad 1st touch, poor foot skills, terrible decision maker. pretty quick tho (altho last couple of games hes seemed kinda slow?). id buy wilshere before him. but youd be nuts to pass up RVP if you could only get one...

/\/\ walcott is hardly an iron man either tho...? RVPs been fit all this season. hopefully a good sign for the future.
id love for wenger to ditch him and fergie to buy him. let him screw up @ united instead.

Yeah I know all my LFC mates would like that too!! Bwahahahahaha
In fairness, would rather see Ji Sung Park get some time on the pitch. Problem with the bigger clubs is that you have such quality on your bench , you are literally wasting the best years of players lives - I know they are getting paid but you don't sign for a club just to sit on your ass and rot... Unless your name is Carlos Tevez...... Waiting for it!!

HARSH on Theo still sgt pepper. Still young and my only criticism is his inconsistency. And this season through that inconsistency he has 11 goals and 12 assists.
Only getting better.

i think tevez is a bad example. hes one of the hardest workers ive ever seen on a pitch. its all his other issues. nasri wouldve been a better call out. or wayne bridge, who actually admits thats what hes doing. happened at chelsea for a while after roman came in. wright phillips, joe cole, parker, kezman, bridge...again.
i cant understand what arsene is doing with park. the dudes only got a limited time over there before hes gotta go back, so play him hard, or dont bother bringing him in at all?! strange.

@rishgoon: but its all about his speed. nothing else. the amount of times he could be making better passes, shots, decisions etc are just too many for me. he wastes the ball to much to make up for the stats he does get. he can have a terrible game, get in behind the D and score/set up a simple goal and then hes brilliant. speed dont = skill in my opinion. plus its all in comparison. there are tonnes of better options for quality mids out there.
i just dont like him, so im probably a little bias. but only a little...

i remember not thinking as bad of huckerby...
2nd coming of ade akinbiyi maybe?

Diego Defends Messi

/\/\ good ol' diego. 'maybe neymar is the best in the world, but only if you say messi is from another planet'. great quote.

Did he ever play for your team? He was the fastest club-footed player ever... score some awesome goals in between his unfathomable misses...

Merseyside derby in FA cup semi finals tonight. What does everyone think?

I think Pool might do a double, yet still miss out on a CL spot. 2 trophies in one season would still be a pretty good result.

Did he ever play for your team? He was the fastest club-footed player ever... score some awesome goals in between his unfathomable misses...

nah, huckerby never played for the hammers. but i remember him at norwich and city. i guess your comparison is more apt tho, since ade just made unfathomable misses.
liverpool derby? i say everton. even if 'pool win, i cant see them getting over either spurs or chelsea in the final...

Everton are in top form, same can't be said for Liverpool. I'd like to see Moyes win a trophy, as much as the ginger whinger is irritating at times, he's a terrific manager and deserves a trophy..
