You need to be so carefull that you don't get stung by customs. They charged me over $300 tax when I brought a case of series 2 UFC into the country.
Well i've been emailng back and forth with a guy at dacard and they can help out with the customs issue. I havent had a look around at prices for about a month. But when i did they were all about within $50 of eachother and a few alot higher. If i get a case i'll get one thru dacard as they seem the most professional and you get the free gift.
Hi all, I have decided against buying a case of these yet. There is no reason to buy at the initial release. Case price comes down considerably if you just wait. I am considering a case of round 4 though ! $480
The hits are not all going to be in the boxes that get sold on release day !
Also going to wait and see what cards appear on ebay, and just buy what I want. Having bought lots of boxes of Main Event I think this is definitely the better way to go.. for me anyway

Gav, I don't know that you are right in saying that the "case prices come down considerably if you just wait".
This is true with less popular or mass releases, but not so with smaller releases ie Round 1.
I got a couple of boxes of Round 1 cards at about US$100 a box (and well under a thousand for a case) when they were pretty new.
Now they are around $7-800 a box and almost $8K for a case. They were the first product of their kind, but then the Knockout set is the first premium product for the UFC to be released.
Prices may fall on boxes/cases, but on the other hand prices could skyrocket!!!

Hmm yeah very good point. But considering Sept round 4 and now 2 months later another release.. I'm guessing it will be hard to make mass profit on every case, and make it worth buying lots of them.. this probably happened with Round 1 ?
I guess its worth the gamble, since I'm gonna be watching for specific items on ebay and yeah if the price drops to 900 I'll wait longer. If I don't see any drop for a month or more, I'll consider buying a case before they run out
Tough call, but all in all I think its still best for me to go by ebay. I only have a few fighters I consider worthy of spending big bucks on rare items.. And if I get a 1/1 pull and its not say Carwin, Velasquez, GSP or Silva, or a couple other guys, I have to sell it. And selling sucks TBH

I think we will get some kind of indication over the next month or so. The series 4 boxes dropped dramatically from preorder prices in the months leading up. and at release were alot cheaper.
But with this being a more limited release, with a hit per pack and alot of numbered cards. who knows what will happen.
There is still alot of hype and excitement from the hardcore collectors aobut the Leaf product right now. So the focus hasnt been to strong on Knockout just yet.

totally agree 100%, i never really gave this leaf set a chance, but im really getting into now, picking up a few cards. series four has been a massive flop to be honest, i wouldve thought main event would have been worse because of the poor design of cards.
the high count of numbered cards can also be bad for the release. for example too many parallels.
Well my seemingly impossible-to-control impulse buying has kicked in again, and I've just pre-ordered a case from CollectAndSave.com
While they weren't prepared to fudge the value on the shipping costs, they did agree to split the order into two shipments of four boxes each, so the value would be well under.
All up I've paid USD$1109 including shipping.
An expensive set, to be sure. Hopefully it will hold its value.
Also if Topps stop flooding the market with Series 4, then maybe both sets might be worth something.

There is something seriously wrong with a card product when after busting 2 boxes I was lucky enough to hit autos of Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva, a current champ in Frankie Edgar and a low number parallel of Vitor Belfort, but I still lost money in the sales. Not that Im in this to flip cards and make money, but you would think you would at least be able to make your money back with those guys.
I hope Knockout is as good as everyone is thinking.
