mate i reckon we are playing well because we aren't 5-0 as you said, and i was a little worried about that before the game, we beat NZ 2-1 which was a sloppy game, Beat Denmark 1-0 which was even worse and loss to USA 3-1 whch was crap....

And in saying that they have just scored.... Not worth watching anymore...

No offence mate, but to say we are playing well cause we are not down 5-0 (3-0 at the time ) is crazy, we have been lucky not to have copped more goals not because we are playing well..

yeah true, still can't believe this referee... Today he has given out 3 yellows and a Red to us and one to them to Ozil for diving. But to miss that penalty was pretty amatuer!

Definately poor night by the ref.... Missed an obvious handball in the box from Germany too (at the start of the 2nd half)... (is that the penalty you mean?)
 
yeah the handball is the one i'm talking about.. was a pretty bad call as was the 1st goal, the Goalscorer Podolski was onside but another player, i think it was Klose was offside just before the shot

Yeah I turned the TV on just as they were celebrating the goal... Saw the reply and thought exactly the same...

I don't mind Holman.... adds some nice energy.... haha.... 2nd yellow to Germany for diving....
 
we have been wasteful of chances though, in the 3rd minute (around there) we had a huge chance to go 1-0 but was blocked by Lahm. We were looking good then (for the first 5 minutes) but after that we were stuffed.

And it's over folks....

Yeah, we were always going to struggle with 10 men! I agree though, going on recent form we were always going to struggle in this match but we still hoped that there was an upset on the cards...

Did anyone see the Slovenia v Algeria game?

Slovenia were gifted a goal by Algeria's keeper, it was a howler!

On foxsports they are calling him Robert Green II
 
Where the HELL were Kewell and Kennedy??? First they start with Garcia up front, then bring in Holman, and finally Rukavytsya, and NO damned kewell??? "But don't worry, Timmy will save the day!" Gee, that worked, didn't it? A harsh red card for sure, but you can't honestly tell me you thought Cahill was about to cut loose any time soon. I'm sick of people denigrating Kewell, and trying to push some "new and exciting" flavour-of-the-month down my throat! Cahill's better than that, but he doesn't look NEARLY as threatening without Kewell out there...

And what was with that RIDICULOUS insistance on attempting the off-side trap??? It CLEARLY wasn't working, and should've been shelved after 20 minutes! Hell, I've seen glaciers move faster than that damned defensive line! Poor Schwartzer never had a chance with that "support"!

Having said that, that was the clear hardest group game out of the way first-up, and hopefully they worked out what works and what doesn't. And what clearly DOESN'T is Kewell not playing! Unless he's had a leg amputated that I'm not aware of, he better get some HEAVY minutes in the next 2 games if we're any chance to qualify!
 
i personally think Kewell isn't as fit as they say he is, if he was 100% match fit as Pim said earlier in the week he would have started. And i heard somewhere Kennedy is carrying an injury.
 
Fantastic result for Germany this morning.
Some great through balls and well finished. Could have been a lot more if Australia did not have schwazer or neil.
 
kewell is never fit. he's just there to fill in the numbers and sell undies.

we try play this stupid offside trap and neil would just keep them onside
He is just too slow and easily responsible for two of the goals and for a useless yellow card.

And yes it was a handball and penalty...and yes it should not have been a red on Tim, but at the end of the day Pim was responsible for the teams formation and which player he decide to choose on the night. **** him is a useless ***** i never liked him and FFA deserve what they got in try to save money when they could had Luca Vialli coaching Australia!!! The soon he goes to Marocco the better it is.
