1X hobby of 2022 Bowman

Is Cherry not breaking tonight? I've gone in quite a few breaks but they are not live atm. Also I took three teams in a 3 box Bowman break and the next day the break had vanished from the sight and I can't see that it has been broken. I hope they didn't can it. Took three teams including Detroit.

From what i saw, no breaks tonight which is strange.
Was that the asia bowman break?
A 3 Box break. I bought into a few days ago when almost all the teams were available bar 3 or 4 including Pittsburg. Next day I was thinking of getting another team and it had disappeared from the breaks page and has not been broken. Very weird. I was going to ask them tonight during the life stream but it wasn't on.
Hopefully my first ever one auto Bowman Draft box has one of the better names. It might be a decent class. 2019 Bowman Draft is spinning me out. That product is looking like something else now with Gunnar and Adley, plus I think Greene still has a big upside. Carroll may have been a flash in the pan for one year but could still be the real deal. It's very unusual to have 4 guys from one product show up in a major way. And there's also CJ Abrams, Josh Jung and a few others who could still blow up. I'm not into flagship as an investment but 2023 Series 1 seems a half decent value rip given the best three of those guys from 2019 Draft have their rookies in that. Not that expensive either.

Yes. Until recently I hadn't been in a break for 2 months but looking through the youtube footage here and there they haven't broken much 2024 Bowman either. Maybe I missed it but those are the products you want to see.
And whilst on that, the prices for a hobby of 2024 Bowman are bs. Way over comps. $500 AUD compared to $330 in the US. They are factoring in the postage we'd have to pay...and some.
Their prices for Bowman have always struck me as way out. The current prices for 2022 Bowman are ridiculous. It's become a Delly or bust product now that Franco is basically worthless. You can get a Delly 1stBowman auto for the same or less than a jumbo.

Yes. And it's not funny how certain items are out of stock during the sale and then are immediately back in stock when the sale has finished. It is what it is. They have a monopoly and a licence to print money. It's greedy and pretty ordinary imo but what can one do?
Your boy Verdugo looks like he's turned the corner. His BA is the highest it's ever been and he has put some decent games together.
Back to Cherry, it will be interesting if breaking starts falling under gambling legislation in the US. It may have no impact here but if it did it would surely eat into Cherry's profits as maybe 70% of their stock gets sold via breaks. The breaks that offer prizes and spots in other breaks seems very iffy to me. Maybe no one has brought this up with the relevant authorities but I can't see this going on for too much longer as it's done today. If local politicians knew that kids were gambling online at a local card shop using Afterpay, etc and forming gambling addictions without any safeguards in play it might prick their ears. They get awfully defensive when a newby in the chat says that they have just dropped $80 and got nothing for it. They know what it is and eventually it will get regulated in some way. But by then the horse will have well and truly bolted and the owners will be rolling in it. Good luck to them. Saw an opportunity and smashed it.

Yep. It didn't show in the MLB breaks filter but would've been there in the main breaking page - somewhere. Probably on the 5th page. I forgot that this has happened before, where the break is not visible on the specific sport filter. Happened before in an NHL break. Perhaps it happens when they move the break back. I've been waiting for a 3boxer for almost two weeks now. After that and some hockey breaks which have to release I'm going silent again. Spent way too much on wax, breaks, and singles in the last 4 months.

Yeah they really smash people who mention losing or complain about their other gambles, the cherry pies!
I have been much better now just stopping breaking and going straight to ebay and putting down what i would have spent on some singles.
Been buying up all the Verdugo's I can as well.
I don't think i will be in a position to sell if he gets promoted, but might try selling some of my stuff at SMC if indeed he goes up and i need to make some sales quick.

His colour 1stBowman cards are listed at a fair bit more than they were going for when you went on the buying spree. I bought some Purple/250 for around $12-$14. You can barely get one /499 for that price now. The base has not moved but but it will if he keeps it up.
Again, impressed that his BA has finally gone up over the .200 to .220 mark. If he can get that up to .280 with a few dingers he will start getting some more hobby love. He's doing well for someone aged 19 years 5 months.
I took a few drachmas for my purple flips but I have at least 10 base autos which I feel will turn a 2X-3X profit. I'm half tempted to pick up the Blue Wave for $25 but I'll hold off for now.

I was buying Golds at 100US a pop and now i am paying 40 for a PSA 10 and 15-20 bucks for gold variants like shimmers and sparkles.
I have been following some Padres watchers who say hes got no speed and no power so he will not make it. Even in this run they are pretty negative about him. He's gone from 1 HR last year to 8 this year and could potentially get a few more.
He's getting a bit of media on MLB Pipeline and I feel he's close to a High A promotion unless he tanks like he did last year around this time.
Went from .240 to .198 in about a month. Praying he can keep it up and push towards .260+
Leodalis De Vries though is going to be the #1 prospect. His bowmans will be double Ethan Salas who has dropped off the face of the earth
9 HR's is a very respectable return for a full season at single A at his age and a BA not under .200 which many of these kids who can hit homers have.
I don't listen to Scouting reports or media to much. The box scores say it all to me - especially as they move to the next level.
