COMC Mailbox Thread

But why do we have to ask for a correction in the first place that's what I was saying. Doesnt make sense. You dont buy Nike and asl for the swoosh to be attached later.

We pay $1 for each card to be processed surely with the card not being identified and all being generic it is technically not being processed as it once was.

To save time on processing surely would save time on costs and therefore to us. I have no problems spending $1 each card but don't want to be asking for a correction and waiting days for that correction because someone couldn't be bothered in the first place! Ive spend hundred if not thousands using the service. Would have been nice if comc asked customers or notified them what they planned to do!
Or at least drop the cost for us if they are not going to be providing the full service

Hello guys! I had a slight drama come up this morning and am seeking advice. Apologies in advance for the long read!

So this morning I get an email from Moe stating that a delivery addressed to my mailbox was received damaged and empty, along with photos detailing the condition of the mailer (there is a clear opening cut through one side). Of course this particular package is for a high value card ($350) but the US based seller seems very reputable. I contact the seller outlining the details and open an item not received case. His response indicates he is of the belief that COMC is responsible for the missing card. I then get notification that the seller has opened a case with the resolution centre and an ebay representative then emails me saying I will need to file a police incident report with the in order to pursue my refund request. Obviously this will prove difficult as I'm in Melbourne Australia and would not know who to contact in the States to file a report.

Furthermore, my understanding is that while the package was shipped with signature confirmation, the delivery was rejected at the COMC's end and no signature provided. However, photographic evidence was taken of the damaged and empty package which I have forwarded to the seller.

According to the items tracking information a successful delivery has not been completed and as such would it not the onus be on the sender and/or USPS to file an incident report with the local authorities in regards to this possible case of mail theft?

I'm awaiting further details from Moe & eBay but would greatly appreciate any advice especially from those of you who have had similar experiences with missing COMC mailbox submissions. Thanks!

Apologies for derailing from the current topic, but just updating on my previous post. Here is the missing card:

My ebay dilemma has been resolved but both myself and the seller would appreciate any info if this card does show up down the track. I know there are a few Delly collectors on here so please note that mail theft may have been involved if this card ever comes up for sale. Cheers guys

man that sucks balls hope you find it..

Also, I understand that the process is being streamlined to NOT add all cards information in there as there is a lot of cards incoming that never make it to being listed on the site for resale. I'd say that <10% of my cards get resold on the site. Most are PC items.

BUT if this is the way COMC is going now, the price should then be dropped back to the original $0.50 processing fee.
Then have the option in the item menu to request information to be added for the extra $0.50

I'm just wondering what happens in the case of packages being lost in shipping??
People will have no details of the card to make a claim except:

Hi Moe

With the "mailbox submission" tag will there be any note on condition if it is damaged in any way?
Just in regards to contacting the seller/group breaker/whoever it came from before it gets sent back to us from COMC

From a previous experience where I bought a card, the seller didn't have it in stock... He refunded me the money and then sent me a card from the same set. This card was damaged, quite badly actually with a crease and it was noted on the submission (prior to the removal of card/set/player info). Rather than keep it, I just donated it and saved myself a $1.

I only have 1 gripe thus far, and it's with searching for cards.

For some reason when I type "devin harris", I'm getting "Derek Harper" results in the mix of Harris cards....

I must do another shipment back home, just waiting on another 2 cards to arrive. 1 says on ebay's tracking that it's been delivered. Hopefully I get an email from COMC soon to acknowledge this.

Hey Moe @Moe@COMC I'm a little concerned that I can no longer see one of my cards and isn't in my inventory and believe I haven't had it sent out to my address. The card was this one below...

2012-13 Panini National Treasures NBA Gear Dual Prime Auto Tyson Chandler 07/10

My username is: vivo1987

Thanks mate!

@Moe@COMC

I just purchased a card from COMC and went to relist it and I had to pay $0.50 fee to 'upgrade' What was that about?

From my store credit^

That's an upgrade fee when you try to price a card over $50. We re-scan the card, to give a higher quality scan for any future buyers. We discussed it when we streamlined our processing services earlier this year (check the header "Expensive Items") :

If the card/shipment does go missing, we will still have the card ID number available, so we would have the scans of the card and we can use that to help identify any missing cards.

And, if anyone were to email me their Mailbox feedback/suggestions/etc. to staff@comc.com, I'd be happy to forward them to the appropriate individuals...
