I don't care to speculate on checklists and ratios any more, I just want to buy some new footy cards. There's plenty of variety and plenty of hits (big and small) so I'll be getting a few boxes and then going on a pack frenzy.

Id say 20 as a minimum....expect a few more.

Based on last years figures most dealers were selling boxes initially for $120-$125 each. Not sure about cases

Release date is 6th March so I imagine it won't hit retail stores too much earlier than that. Ikon is the wholesaler

Thanks mate. This is my first release. (Knew ikon was wholesaler, though newsagents had to go through them)

I'll get a few starter packs and see if I like the set before I jump and gets box. ( I'm pretty lucky with packs as I did get a sig card with one)

There are 2 types of distribution for the product, wholesale which goes through Ikon and then mass market (newsagents/servos etc)

I have seen in the past that sometimes mass market (newsagents) can get the stock sooner than you would get from Ikon.

Example LE 2012 I had this a couple of days early, Traders 2013 had it on the Thursday before Monday release and Elite the same from memory.

I have a feeling that you may see a lot of Traders product going through mass market.

I will be keeping an eye out for them and hit the newsagency for some pre orders of starter packs (if they doing it this yr) and a box..

Is delaying sales through Ikon for 2 weeks a ploy to slow product being sold on eBay and so on?

Sounds like there will be a two week window where only option to purchase will be at full retail price from a physical store.

19th of February is when they will be available for order from Ikon.

National release date is 6th march.

This series looks promising, I'll prob go a box and them loose packs assuming they come to NZ like last year.
Some of the insert set ideas are great (heritage, kick returners, magic moments) and the commons are simple, but a fast improvement on last year's Traders design, where the players often blended into the background.
Bit of a shame to see the Young Guns go, but no doubt there'll be a prospects sig set in premium series.
And when there's 5-6 different insert sets, it doesn't really matter if one is geared towards kids.
I'll wait for the ratios before applauding, but looks like a nice improvement ESP.
