Nash Tellin It Like It Is. Dwight Howard !

I'm pretty sure Kobe isn't ruling out taking a paycut.. From what I've seen and heard all he has said is that without a meeting about a new contract he isn't going to just accept a paycut.. I'm pretty sure if they sat down with him and talked about a contract he would take less and besides what idiot wouldn't want the most money you could get? There is no such thing as having enough money no matter who you are.. It's also not his fault the Lakers f***ed up.. They made the mistake by trading for that w***er Dwight Howard..

Without Kobe last season the Lakers don't make the playoffs so why shouldn't he be worth top $$? If you want to talk about overpaid players who should take a massive paycut go look at Pau Gasol.

“For me to sit here and say, ‘Oh yeah, I’m just going to take a huge pay cut. Nah, I’m going to try to get as much as I possibly can.”

go see kobe play in person, he's worth the money, only a few players in the league that are as dangerous

Helps when the NBA stops people like Raja Bell who was a renowned 'Kobe stopper'! ;)

To me kobe is up there with MJ and if he gets another ring and ends up somewhere around Kareem with most points scored i think a really strong case can be made for kobe... Taking nothing away from MJ but his career was like a fairy tale, kobe had a lot more bumps to go through and the way he keeps getting back on his feet is amazing, people don't even realize he's been banged up for at least 5 seasons...I miss this guy in his prime!!
ive uploaded a couple of videos on youtube :)

No one is deniying that Kobe is / will be remembered as one of the best.
What im saying is the Lakers are rebuilding now, or seem to be keen to rebuild via free agency next year etc.
Kobe is always sprouting team first, talking down Dwight for turning his back on the Lakers etc But now when it comes to him taking a pay cut for the team, he wont. In fact comes out and says he will try and get the biggest pay day he can.
If i was the Lakers knowing this little Kobe who is only a couple years from retirment would be on the trade block.
Id give Lebron a max deal over kobe everyday of the week! Can build around Lebron for years to come. Even plan B of melo is better in my opinion!

So Kobe gets like $30mil at the mo, I don't think he's saying that he'll be trying for that.

But the guy is still worth up near $20mil. I mean, Jo Johnson gets that and some others are close to that.

Next contract he should be around $20 mil, a paycut would be down to $15mil which isn't gonna happen either. They paid Pau $19 mil.

I would max out Lebron for sure but as if he's joining Kobe, not gonna happen.

I think they'll be throwing max money at Bosh and see if leaves L.A. I know he has his faults but L.A could put some guys around him, Kobe and Pau.
