Paypal dropped the ball

Dan said the seller did make a claim with Aust Post & got $100.00 back. The lesson here is that if he insured it for an extra $100.00 which would of cost an extra $2.00 he would of got all his money back.

thats not the point though , he shouldnt have too...

the bloke at villawood should get the chop.

I recently purchased a card for $80 that never arrived. The seller charged $10 post. After the item never arrived, we talked a few times. Said he posted it and he'd talk to australia post. I eventually put in a claim to paypal....... And got my money back..

If he did post it.... I feel bad about the fact that he lost the card then $90 as well..... But the truth is... You never know who you can trust....!! He could have been lying for all I know.... Or he's extremely outta pocket one of the two!!!

Posting is crap in general.... I worry more about posting to others than not getting my stuff in the mail..... I register everything... EVERYTHING.. Lol.

As we all know cards are a business to some or a hobby to others, so there is always a money figure in there somewhere which always brings out the scammers and lowlife!
I doubt there is an easy fix other than trust in the postee of the goods!

I have never had a problem up to now so i guess i am lucky or i choose my sellers correctly!

cards sent in white envelopes has always worked for me as it does not show any particular interest out of the normal. When you address your item 'do not bend' it does attract a particular interest!

I admit that i dont sell or buy high dollar cards which is always in my favour!

registered post is the way to go , however even this is not without difficulties.

a tip to senders that if you pre-purchase registered post rolls of 50 you need to keep your receipt as well as offer proof of postage (basically i still purchase the stamps each time i send a package and also keep this receipt)- australia post will look for ways to deny your claim if the package is lost without documentation.

also recently had a case where a registered item was sent interstate but did not arrive after 3 weeks, rang aust post and it was finally located at the interstate sorting facility so im not surprised at the experiences other members have had

No one is pointing the finger at the seller or buyer the problem is there is a THIEF working at the Villawood Aust Post distribution center as I personally have had 2 item stuck there & never delivered & have heard of another 4 items to get stuck there.

Maybe the thief working at the Villawood Distribution centre is a member on here and knows which seller is which and knows that the padded, registered mail envelopes that are heading out to the big collectors will most likely contain high end or expensive cards ????
Maybe we should be asking where we all work ?????

Yeah the only time I got screwed as the seller was to 8088 which I would guess is the villawood sorting centre
Yes, both are in Villawood but 1 + 1 = 3 in this instance as the sorting centre and Stephen 8088 Edge work about 500m apart. 8088 works at a car accessorising shop

need to work on that maths mischa :kick:
Girds, nothing wrong with my maths. What I am saying is that his assumption is incorrect. OMG Aussie Uni's have dropped the ball if you are what they are producing nowadays. When I went you actually had to show up AND have a brain!!!

ahahaha i was being an idiot. i knew what you were saying.

but they have dropped the ball.

While we are talking about Auspost ask them for the little red stickers when you post an item. It basically states that it HAS to go to the post office and not be placed at a door or in a letterbox if there is nobody home

I wasnt accusing Stephen, I was just saying stuff going to him probably gets sorted out at Villawood.
