Paypal dropped the ball

The card i originally bought is a 2012 Black Leader Braith Anasta NUMBERED 38 for $208.00 !
The seller is on Ozcard watching this not mentioning any names sends me a message through ebay calling me all sorts of names thief, maggot, everything you can think of under the sun so i started a paypal claim and to my surprise just over 2 weeks had gone passed and with all the evidence supplied to paypal (tracking number supplied by the seller)that the parcel was stuck in the sorting centre in villawood ,
They still found that the seller had proof showed them a current reciept where he purchased the registered post parcel and that he won the claim and i still have no card and lost my money !
But public Defender John Rolfe investigated my case and won !
So to you mr seller HERE Watching after all these nasty message which i still have !
grow a brian before you go off your nut and accuse someone in stealing your items !

Not taking sides here but as long as the seller can provide proof of shipping they are covered. And as a seller on eBay, there are multiple times when a claim is raised against where you think l'm just getting scammed again. Not saying for 1 min that Dan was trying to scam him.
Just my 2 cents.

I collect sneakers and a common scam is sending an empty box registered and being covered. I think Paypal used to be buyer biased but is now a lucky dip.
Its nice to know if Paypal don't see it in my favour I can call the Daily Telegraph.

He knows who he is. If I was Dan I'd give him 5 days to own up before I'd name & Shame him!!!:cautious:

if the parcel is stuck in a sorting center, shouldnt it be an Australia Post problem?

Cool so other people can get scammed for 5 days, if it was a scam to begin with

Not everyone logs on 24/7 I would PM my intentions so he has no excuse

It was able to be seen that Aust Post lost the item No excuse for all the abuse & threatening emails from the seller was my point.

No one is pointing the finger at the seller or buyer the problem is there is a THIEF working at the Villawood Aust Post distribution center as I personally have had 2 item stuck there & never delivered & have heard of another 4 items to get stuck there.

Do You really think registered post is SAFE ? I dont think so its just another way of proving that a item has been signed for when it gets to the other end ! Also the item you send registered must not be over the value of $100 cause if you do loose the parcel thats all you can claim ! Its the express registered overnight parcel it is dearer to send but more safer which is the ideal parcel to deliver plus the extra costing to the value of the item in it which you can claim it all if it gets lost ! As for scamming it does happen ive had a friend recieve a parcel registered he signed for it and opened it up at the post office and what did he find ? NOTHING so he told the staff member at the store and reported it to paypal and he got his money back after a few weeks !

Mate people can call me names and all and say what they want but thats why ive put the number of the card of Braith Anasta Black League Number up so you all can work it out because if it comes up for sale again well something fishy is happening here !

grow a brian before you go off your nut and accuse someone in stealing your items ! - How does one grow a Brian? What is a Brian?

Still not 100% sure what went on here but good to see DK kept going after those pricks at paypal and got his money back.

The comment in the article from the guy at Paypal was one of the biggest cop outs ever.

"We dropped the ball and are refunding his money.......but only because the story is about to hit the daily telegraph" should have been the actual quote.

As a point of Interest people... And from the other side of the coin,
A while back I sent an Item registered post, To a good mate who is also a member here...
After a bit he called me chasing the Item, I gave him the Tracking info, It said it was still at his local Aus Post Depot.
He went down and fired a rocket into them.
After a bit of running around etc... More heated conversations with Aus Post, Ole mate resigned to the fact he wasn't getting his Item.
Even though I had the Info and It said it was at his local mail facility.
Anyhow we were talking again, And I explained the package I sent it in.. (An old stapled up bubble mailer, Wrapped in a yellow envelope)
This triggered his memory and he remembered getting it. After a few days he rang and said that HE FOUND THEM!!

What had happened was, Aus post delivered more than one Registered parcel on the same day... But only got the ONE SIGNATURE!!
-As is common place with a Postie Delivered Reg Package!!
My point is, Just because it says it's at the sort facilty... Doesn't mean it is.
Just because it says it hasn't been recieved doesn't mean it hasn't.
This very instance happend to me and old mate just recently.... Didn't it old mate ;)

I don't know anyone in this deal, And I don't have a vested interest...
But going on a witch hunt, naming and shaming a guy under the "Buyer beware excuse" Is a bit harsh when he has:
- Provided Tracking Info
- Provided a reciept for the postage of the Item
- And Aus post says its at a local mail centre.

From my point of view, The seller has done all he could.... (Bar going the extra insurance etc, Which possibly wasn't requested or paid for originally)

Now Dan says he didn't get the item, And he has been around long enough to assume innocence...
But if it were me, And I KNOW and I HAD PROOF I had sent the item... and paypal wanted to take the money off me because the guy hasn't recieved it.
I'd be as PEEVED OFF as Dan originally was for not getting the item he had paid for.

-As for the slanderthon... Well that's always gonna happen in a case like this!!

For mine, You have got 2 guys who have done the right thing with no result who both want thier money, And are quite entitled to it!!

the other catch with all of this is that it is only the seller(sender) can claim anything from Aust Post. So ultimately if it is lost in the mail unfortunately it is the seller who has to make the claims

Dan said the seller did make a claim with Aust Post & got $100.00 back. The lesson here is that if he insured it for an extra $100.00 which would of cost an extra $2.00 he would of got all his money back.
