yeah well when your team has been robbed of three victories this year due to the refs you tend to get a bit desperate

but yeah dirty tactics used by furner imagine if it was the other way around the furnace would be having his usual cry at the press conference

Gallen has cleaned up a little but but is still one if the dirtiest in the game. A couple of seasons ago he was without question the dirtiest, he gave back plenty yesterday with forearms to the face etc.

Every team has had calls go against them this year and the sharks got lucky with last try that was foward by a mile. Gallen's whinge to Fitler at the end of the game was ordinary, whatever happened to what happens on the field stays on there?

The highlight of that game was the Sharks Captain pleading.....nay begging the Referee to give them something and let them back in the game. For a minute there I thought ole sookie Gallen was going to push out the bottom lip and stamp his feet like a real little princess..............Hahahahaa

Gallen said he was going to get Papalli, and Archer was "yeah... well, you be careful." LOL!!! Couldn't have given 2 s#its about the NSW Captain.

Also, why did nothing come of the Carney head-butt in the Canberra in goal?

Ok. But I do so love these RL players passing on medical diagnosis over Twitter.

Sitting in the relative comfort of my lounge room yesterday, when they showed the replay of the incident, I said to my wife he'd busted his jaw. Close-ish.

Poor ba$tard though. Looked a decent thwack.

I thought broken jaw or similar too, it was a solid hit from a big unit! You have to feel sorry for Croker, he is one of the form centers of the comp and has had a great year, rep footy is not too far away for him!

I didn't say Gallen was the dirtiest player but one of them, Thaiday and Ennis are massive grubs also.

As for the bad refereeing decisions it is frustrating and sucks when your team is on the end of one but it has happened to every team this year as the refereeing has been below standard alot this year. The foward pass try didn't natter in the end but at the time was big as it brought the sharks within 2 and if Gordon had kicked it the scores would have been level.

My main point was that for Gallen to whinge it was very ordinary as he dishes the same up every week and you never hear an opposition bag him to the media. Also for Gallen to stand up last week and say that Pomeroy only got charged because Thurston was a high profile player is very ordinary, I expected more from a player of his calibre.

Centre is one of the hardest if not the hardest positions to defend. One on one and big, fast back rowers running at you all game and often a small half defending next to you. If you defend on the middle of the Ruck and miss you generally have cover if you miss. Croker has certainly had his defensive issues, more so in the reading of plays being run at him but has improved out of sight and his defensive stats are as good as most top centres in the game.

I thought Croker broke his jaw in attack/offence? 5 metres from the line, got tackled and copped an accidental knee (though knowing Cronulla, it was a tactic ) as he came close to head down to the ground.

Just one of those innocuous things that happen.

How it counts him out of SoO is beyond me. He will be missed for his goal kicking alone.

Croker suffers when defending next to a small half. As most Centres do. Defensively his technique and decision making is solid. He is a class Centre...

Carney has still to prove himself in big games, he did nothing in 2010 GF, from memory was not outstanding during the semis, did squat for NSW, and did SFA yesterday...

Tough to play with an achilles injury. He has had it for a few weeks. He lead the Roosters to the GF so i will give the benefit of the doubt.
