I think the main reason the Storm have so many haters is because of the absolutely disgusting cheating that went on at the club. The day they had their premierships stripped i was almost as happy as watching my team win the grand final. There is also the fact that all their feeder clubs are in QLD and they have no homegrown talent while other clubs have great setups in their local area to develop players from when the are juniors. But yeah i hate them due to the fact that they so blatantly cheated and were millions of dollars over the cap, and i find it hard to believe the players who received such huge extra payments were clueless to it all. Another thing is that their winning culture was built when they were playing with illegal teams. I personally find it unfair that they were allowed to continue with their combination of Smith/Cronk/Slater which was built at a time when they were excessively over the cap. If it was up to me they would have been kicked out of the competition forever. I'm sure they wouldn't have been missed too much as no one actually plays rugby league in Melbourne, and as you can see from the grand final crowd they don't exactly have the biggest fan base.

Long-term, it would not be for the good of the game.
Even to this day, the AFL has been in Sydney for 30 years and Brisbane a little less than that. Looking at Select's new AFL Future Force series they have 78 'promising' players from the under 18 championships. How many of those 78 kids are from ....NSW/ACT? It's 2, QLD is 5. It takes a loooong time and Melbourne has a long way to go but eventually it will pay off.

Wanting to get rid off the Storm is totally wrong, Rugby League needs a team there for many reasons, the Storm do a great job in identifying young players and bringing them in and developing them, not to mention getting players from the scrap heap and making them play like superstars..

Good on the Storm they deserved to win they beat the dogs hands down yesterday. At the end of the day they paid the price for what happened years ago and they have come back from that good on them and bellyache. bad luck to the Doggies they had a good year and should be proud of what they achieved. bring on next year and i hope my mighty rabbits get to make it to the big show next year and play on that magic sunday for the prize

Just got back from sydney one happy man, Very proud of our boys and the way they defended the second half i couldnt sit still in my seat,
And got to congratulate the Nrl for a great Full day they put on from start to finish.
All the Salary cap stuff we cop from all the storm haters theres nothing we can do about it, i agree it was totally wrong and we the fans also paid a big price
in the stripping of our premierships, but hopefully one day all these haters will get over the Scandal and just move on and stop using it as a excuse for their team loss to the storm.

If the NRL want to make it a national sport its about time they raised the Salary cap for interstate clubs Just like the AFL do to lure players away from there home state, im not asking for more money for the storm im just reffering to future ventures thay may take on In W.A, S.A etc.
Otherwise the AFL will do and have already done making in More of a National Sport
