if you're the hornets, do you reluctantly let him go? he seemingly feels slighted by the hornets for drafting austin rivers who plays a similar position. at the end of the day, you dont want a player representing your team that doesnt really want to be there potentially being a cancer on the team and sulking the whole time - you will never know if he is playing hard and really trying to win. he is silly though, hornets will have a better core than phoenix and can rise quicker through the league. management is only trying to make the team better and it's a pity he doesnt see it that way... just another selfish nba player with an overinflated ego... this is the one thing i hate about the NBA and will continue to be an ongoing frustration.

maybe let him go to phoenix in a sign and trade where he is stating he really wants to be... question is, what can the hornets get in return for him? they have a bunch of forward theyll likely want to let go of but we dont need that, we need guards - if he could return marcin gortat, who is a very serviceable big man, id be very happy with letting him go : )

Hmmm, there is something about that Nets team if they get that 4 together.

They really don't need much else around those guys. Sure they need a few hidden gems but with those 4 guys, you can have at least 2/4 on the court at all times. Maybe 3 coz crash does'nt need the rest.

I'm sure they'll line up some savvy vets and keen rookies to help out. Maybe Patty Mills:)

Still not sure if they could beat Miami though. Depends how well they gel.

I know Lakers don't need to get Dwight, but I still think that's the difference in them making the finals again or losing to OKC.

The Brooklyn Nets' persistent efforts to recruit the Cleveland Cavaliers as a third team to help them hammer home a trade for Dwight Howard are starting to pay off, according to sources close to the process.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets and Magic are cautiously optimistic that the Cavaliers will help them facilitate a three-way trade that lands Howard in Brooklyn.
Free agent Kris Humphries would be one of the key pieces headed to Cleveland in the proposed deal.
The Cavaliers, however, have enough cap space to sign Humphries outright, so they have requested additional assets from their two prospective trade partners.
A key in any potential deal, sources said, is swingman Marshon Brooks, whom the Nets are offering to prospective third-team facilitators to make a Howard-to-Brooklyn trade possible.

Although the Nets have made Brooks available, sources say the Magic aren't interested and he's being shopped elsewhere, including Cleveland, to find a package that suits Orlando.
The Nets' weekend attempts to convince the Cavaliers to take on Humphries is the latest of several proposals Brooklyn has made to the Magic and, in fact, is not completely new.
A couple of weeks ago, just before Orlando hired Rob Hennigan as its new general manager, Brooklyn offered a similar three-team trade proposal to the Cavs, sources said, only to be turned down by the Magic.
Hennigan now appears to be willing to consider the offer. And sources close to the process have expressed cautious optimism that the negotiations could proceed to a more serious stage.
"The deal is progressing, but nothing's imminent,'' said one source close to the talks.

LOL! Same thoughts here, Norm... I doubt this one but who knows, Riley is Riley... Getting Allen to join the heat is one of the biggest story in NBA history in terms of loyalty and camaraderie (Its definitely not the money).

I dont know but it will be a few months before the regular season starts. And for the meantime, maybe we can see some games from the London Olympics.
 
^ I guess the "friendship" between Allen and Rondo kinda helped Allen sign with MIA...

It sucks that the good teams are getting better right now, but then again, some of the badder teams are getting good too. Just not sure which one of those two the Mavs slot into, LMAO!!


I STILL don't understand Brooklyn's trade packages. Seriously, and I'm sure someone else, ala OKC or CHI, etc, could package a better deal than anyone out there, have a serious run at the championship, let Dwight go if his arse won't re-sign, and spend the $18m on someone big in the off season. It's certainly do-able, and IMO, a better plan than to ship him to the Nets for Lopez, and a bunch of picks. They still need to lock up Lopez, which is most likely via S&T with Brookly, and in which case, does ORL get a say in the contract? What if they're not happy with the $ value?

Just doesnt make sense to me!

I read on that form Andy posted above, that apparently the Cavs GM was one that opposed the CP3 trade, as they were against good teams getting better, which are doing the same thing right now, in helping Brooklyn load up on stars... D-Will, JJ, Crash & Dwight is a solid 4/5. I don't imagine their bench will be nicely filled out, but role players don't have to play big minutes to be successful. Just ask MIA.

SERIOUS??? Talk about THE place to sign. Question, if they sign all these players, then what's happening with their current bench? So many players getting the sack or what?!?!
