The Official SAN ANTONIO SPURS thread

Love the way the Spurs are going about it this year... Watched em dismantle OKC without Manu.... It's hard for the Spurs to be all exciting and chucking up alley's all the time with those 4 rings weighing them down ;)

Personally, I love the fact they retired Bowen's jersey... real class right there... The Spurs are successful for the fact their not a bunch of "me, me, me" selfish egomaniacs like a lot of the other "stars"... The spurs have always been team first through their successful run and Bowen epitomized selflessness and encapsulated the ethos of the team as good as anyone. Loved em since I picked #50 as my PC player in 1993 after opening up my first pack of 92/93 UD and getting his All Star subset card, had given up hope of him getting a ring untill Timmy rocked up and just enjoyed the run ever since. When your a Spurs/Chargers/Crows/Liverpool fan you are extremely thankful for the Spurs, as I am - because without them I would have had little joy in the last 13 years as far as sporting teams go.
 
Jacks had a 16 pt return game... not too bad at all :thumbsup:

Yeh he had a nice stat line. Very nice. I saw an article saying how it was such a HUGE risk picking him up. As if, he's quality, just needed to get some minutes and some looks.

Spurs might also be getting Diaw. Not too shabby a pick up at all. He can play a few positions and get boards.

Diaw has the same manager as Parker, so maybe there is a push from that side? I'm not too sure we have room for him??

As far as boards go, there is Tiago, Blair, Leonard & Duncan!

I'm not too familiar with Diaw's game so I don't know whether there is an offensive position for him, but it seems the roster is pretty full already?
 
No Diaw is confirmed and has played the last 2

Have been able to rotate breaks for Parker's Hammy, Manu and Timmy lately!! Will be good come Playoff's!
 
Spurs essentially have picked up

Jackson, Diaw and Mills

for Jefferson and a 1st rd pick.

Great work. Fingers crossed that's the difference in them winning the chip this year.

Can't wait for the playoffs to start.
 
Educating myself on Heal's time with the Spurs... hard to do anything in half a dozen games... Go put the house on a SPurs ring now we got Mills for the trifector.... GUARANTEED!!!!! ;)
