I know select would need to pay the QRL and NSWRL but surely we need some Origin inserts and maybe even some test inserts again. Can you imagine an origin redemption set, how good would that be! I would be happy to pay more per packet if they did this.

I think something like Origin related inserts will become much more likely when the idependant commission finally takes control of the game.

Will the independant commission have jurisdiction over the state leagues, I don't really know but if they don't it doesn't matter what they say the state leagues will have to get on board with a reasonable figure to let us see origin inserts.

I spoke to someone at Select a while ago in regards to some players being on club cards but no longer play for that club ie Lincoln Withers in the 2009 champions & I was told they have no say in the players who get put on the cards they get told by the NRL as to what players to pick.

Have not seen anyone post about receiving the promos yet - they arrived today

Marshall and Barba commons, Merritt try machine and Sims Rookie Standout.

The cards are thicker than 2011 Champions, maybe not as thick as Strike.

There doesn't seem to be any mention of "Champions" on any of the cards.

Over/under on how long it take these to be listed for pre-sale on ebay. Im setting the line at 36 hours.

get an old flannelette shirt and polish the front of the cards. buffs a nice finish for IP sigs

I got the fliers and Promos today.

I expect the case prices from JHL to be exactly the same as the packets are still being advertised as $2.99 retail.

Prices should be the same as last year as the packet prices are still the same $2.99 and have only changed $0.04 in 5 years .....

192 Parrallel card = 2 in 3 packs= 288 packs x $3 = $864...yep bargain !!!

Thats if you don`t double up and you are bound to do that ......Most people will want 2 sets which will be more expensive ....

No rookies performed in those clubs ....Surely there must have been 1 player .....

Mitch Rein would have been my selection 15 odd games in debut year....local junior and Toyota Cup player of the year 2010 (Dragons player of the year) surely they could have used him !!!!

There are a lot of people who just buy packets or boxes from the newsagency and don`t have access to be able to trade cards ...

There are a lot of people who never finish there sets ....I have picked up customers last year after going to markets that spent in excess of $1500 in series 1 and still hadn`t finished sets ...

I am sure there are also a lot of people that start the set and spend a fortune then when the newsagencies run out of packets they toss the cards away because they can`t finish the sets .....

Its all about marketing and there will always be people who so call waist there money and never finish sets .....

As soon as I saw that Dragons didn't have a rookie card. The first person I thought of was Mitch Rein. How could they miss him. Mose Masoe came to mind for Roosters, Im not sure when he started, but, in 2010 we only had 1 set which was released before Mose made his debut.

My point more was that these wont sell on ebay as a set for anywhere near $864.

Last years parallel set would have cost you $2.99 x 192 cards = $574 however it was a pretty easy pickup on ebay for $100-$120.

Im sure there are plenty of people that buy packets who wont (or even have an intention) to finish the parallel set, however the more people that get connected with good sellers like yourself and get onto this great site will have opportunities to finish sets off without having to pay the earth to do it and will hopefully become as addicted as we are.

I think the biggest trouble with the Sticker set will be being able to trade the cards with any confidence that they will be undamaged ...

I think you will also get the traders who expect to trade cards that have allready been unstuck as well ....

It should be an interesting set to collect ....Of cause this is only my opinion .....
